First @iDREAMS_project installation in a truck. Yet another milestone achieved. Looking forward to a lot of safe miles.
Last week the @iDREAMS_project bus simulator was packed and shipped to #Barraqueiro_transportes. The #simulator will be used to test and validate in-vehicle safety interventions for bus drivers.

Adjustability, a key design criterion of our gaming #simulator. Freedom to adjust the steering wheel position and a steel mounting plate supported by aluminium profiles to create a rigid assembly combined with a pre-drilled hole pattern for easy fitting of most common wheelbases.

As part of the #H2020 @iDREAMS_project, we installed a car #simulator at the Technical University of Munich (TUM). The simulator will be used to test the i-DREAMS in-vehicle headway warnings based on a Safety Tolerance Zone.

Team i-DREAMS just did the first tests with a prototype of RT intervention equipment, developed by @drive_sim. By testing early prototypes in real conditions in terms of placement, readability under various lighting conditions, etc, we can learn where improvement is possible. 💪

An i-DREAMS driver simulator study was done at @IMOB_UHasselt to monitor overtaking behavior of drivers while overtaking cyclists. Visual 🚥 & auditory 🔊 support was provided to optimize the distance between the car & the cyclist. #safetytolerancezone @EU_H2020 @inea_eu
