This boat better not sink #NMC2024 #mastitisexperts

At #NMC2024 a special session on training and communication. Thank you @dr_alibard ,Paul Virkler and Paulina Lingers for excellent presentations on the importance of understanding human behaviour and (communication) skills training to improve herd health.

Shocking: 70% medewerkers dierenkliniek ervaart grensoverschrijdend gedrag. Dat is 7x meer dan de gem. beroepsbevolking. Niet alleen agressie, maar ook pesten, discriminatie en seksueel ongewenst gedrag, door klanten en/of collega’s. anna-advies.nl/publicaties/o…

Excellent academic lecture of professor @lauklerkx on agricultural Innovation Systems. Congratulations!

Thank you Linda Dachroth for showing the possibilities of virtual farms in veterinary education with FarmSkills4vets. Excited to see if we can include our Veterinary DialogueTrainer on how to communicate more effectively during (virtual)farm visits. #WBC2022

Andrea Turner’s enthusiasm about how Motivational Interviewing skills helped her as a practicing vet was so lovely to see. A true ambassador of how better communication skills can just make you happier and more confident as a vet. Thank you! #WBC2022

Catharina Svensson showing the importance and challenges of Veterinary communication training. Need for more Motivational Interviewing skills in vet curriculum and CPD and opportunities for e-learning #WBC2022

Thank you prof. Jude Capper @Bovidiva for pointing out the environmental impact of us travelling to the #WBC2022 🤣😱. Easy to blame farmers if we are not willing to change our own behaviour 👍

Interesting study of @MarijnStok presented by Ruurd Jorritsma. Large intention-to-behavior gap and cognitive dissonance (find excuses to justify not working on prevention) Awareness not an issue. Social support is! What does that say about the role of the vet? #WBC2022
