Teams with set (or tentative) load management plans for stars, should be forced to disclose. Not fair to fans buying tickets when you know you won’t play him in 3rd game in 4 night scenarios. Just put it out there. NBA should be trying to build trust with customers, not playing “got ya, sucka”
Again, PSA for all the fans in Phoenix hoping to see Steph on Oct. 24th: That's the Warriors third game in four nights to start the season. The odds of seeing #30 play that night are not high. Be very careful in buying those tickets early.

I thank the Spurs for allowing me time to step away to sort out issues in my personal life. I understand that I will have to regain trust within the organization and across our community, a community where I will continue to be present with enthusiasm and passion. I believe I have the best job in the world and am thrilled to be able to continue as the team’s play-by-play announcer.

From Sophie Cunningham’s comments to Royce White and Enes Kanter Freedom trying to make a point, this episode gets into what’s really being said, who’s being centered, and why trans athletes keep getting used as political bait.

It hurts that the conversation around this has turned into team sports/backbiting instead of a good faith conversations on what the Spurs owe the city and viceversa.
In the rush to villify the mayor for due diligence. Some important points about this project have been lost.

David Stern’s NBA was a marketing machine. He used league marketing partners to set the stage for the stories that mattered that season. Players were willing participants (everyone loved off the court $). In this era, a lot of the players that matter don’t care about this stuff because on-court salaries are insane now. Add that with all the attention they get on social media and there aren’t that many stars that want to sit at a commercial shoot for 6-8 hours for what’s not that much compared to what they make for their time on the court.

It’s like wrestling fans that want to be bookers
today’s NBA fans think about transactions way more than I remember in the past as everyone has a “great” idea for how to fix their team.
but that shouldn’t be the driving force of your fandom.

Calling a framing disingenuous and then framing CC against Wemby is crazy work.

PXP is very complex. One of the toughest roles in broadcasting. You have to be highly skilled to execute. Jacob Tobey’s timing, pacing, ability to call on the fly, sponsor reads, etc…. The high detail and execution required isn’t easy. He was excellent at doing all of that. My opinion
I do wonder if the Spurs miscalculated here. This was a local story that was kinda already dead.
Now its a national story.
I'd love to know all the factors at play.
The other thing is who knows how this story revives when the season comes back. Now they dont have to find out.

It’s really quite simple Christine. The players are MORE impressed w/ rookie Olivia Miles, 2nd year player Sonia Citron & 8 yr sharpshooter leading the W in 3pt takes & makes Marina Mabrey The players don’t want to help you sell books, they want to acknowledge top tier play!

On the Caitlin Clark-Alyssa Thomas situation, a PR crisis the WNBA ignored for too long, fanbases with different visions for the future and the frustrating gulf between how good it feels to be a WNBA fan and how toxic it seems from the outside looking in:

A great many people showing they don't know how WNBA All-Star voting is so they can be aggrieved that...Caitlin Clark....
*checks notes*
is merely an All-Star starter......
I do think people are seeing ghosts a little bit on the Jaylen Brown trade.
Its a unique situation which took a lot of things being handled poorly at once to happen.
I don't think its there's very many lessons here.
Since the beginning owners have ruined roster construction by overreacting to how bad the worst of them are at this.
They've now created something bat shit. This is a really good summary of it.
