With the increased LoR mentions by Riot and now even Prime Gaming, I’ve been thinking a lot about the state of the game. So does LoR Twitter think the game is overall trending up or down?

Sad. I stepped away from the game because of lack of time but I’m still sad to see this happen. I suppose it’s impossible to keep justifying the subsidizing of LoR for so long. Let’s see if it can reach net positive with this smaller scope. Seems unlikely :(

The first time each round you increase Riven2's power it will permanently grant her that much power in addition. Ex: Elixir of Wrath gives a temp +3|+0 and a permanent +3|+0. This allows her to benefit from equipment while the old text did not! Mainly QoL, but def a buff overall.

Set 9 in TFT just dropped and I've decided to take the plunge after doing 2 weeks of set 8.5 as my intro to the game. For people who've never played autochess games or LoL, the game is HARD to learn (at least it was for me). I'll post some introductory content below.

A completely new masters ladder system is coming next patch! Our focus is on making a great system without opportunity for abuse. As a game designer, I'm not actively spending time policing behavior.

I also guessed Follower would be most popular. There are more of them than other cards and they're more salient. They also have more knobs so people may feel more agency.

I wouldn't keep posting about Free Build if it weren't such a strangely dynamic metagame. Turns out OTK is too finicky for my mobile gamer fingers so I turned to this. Funny how dropping a bunch of Sea Monsters just wins games...feels like Path of Champions.

The Meta Nuke produced Godzilla Nothing I can think of counters this deck. My only loss was not having Stony on 2 against Dropboarders that went off on 3. Nab comes close, but would be 50/50 at best. Is this the end of the Free Build meta?

Lost to this earlier. Tried it myself and almost lost to APM issues. Apparently playing the same spell over and over doesn't slow the rope.

Shellfolk OTK currently beats every deck except Dropboarders until people learn the counter: just don't play a unit Islanders on 1/2, Ezreal on 3, Shellfolk on 4 (5 if brick). Scrying alone only deals 14 cause of the card limit so you need it and Feral in deck if they're at 20

Great job summing up the free build meta. Small decks necessarily trump 40 or 100 card decks due to how consistent they are. These are the available options with tech for the other meta decks.

Free Build Meta Update 🧵 My impressions after about 200 games Stony counters every single meta deck (Dropboarders, Mill, Shrooms), but the Stony curse still applies, so it loses to standard 40 card aggro decks and other unit piles (about 1/3 of decks).

Free Build has been a lot of fun. I tried Dropboarder. I got on the Mill train just in time to get crushed by Teemo. Playing the next level decks is an interesting puzzle. But it also feels kind rock paper scissors and games come down to show your hand/deck and let’s move on…
