Anojan called us himself and said he had injuries in six places on his head," Mr. Rajeevkanth said Wednesday. "He was crying as he told us that he had been attacked with a sharp weapon."
In Parliament, Mr. Rasamanickam said the family had been told that Mr. Anojan was struck on the head with a knife and that his life had been in danger. According to the family, he said, Mr. Anojan had been moved from the prison where he was previously held to another prison, where he was attacked by a prisoner in the section for inmates under sentence of death.
Sivarasa Anojan, the Sri Lankan migrant worker facing execution in Saudi Arabia, told his family that he had been attacked with a sharp weapon in prison, according to a civil society activist working closely with his relatives. Sri Lanka's government, relying on information from Saudi prison authorities, told Parliament on Wednesday that his injuries had been caused by another inmate's fingernails.

A stray dog had begun following Hindu pilgrims during the Kataragama Pada Yatra in Sri Lanka. Videos of the dog travelling with the pilgrims were widely shared and warmly received in Hindu circles.
Then a video appeared showing a man kicking the dog. It triggered anger online and led to an argument on social media.
During that argument, religious insults were exchanged. A Sri Lankan man named Sivarasa Anojan, who was working in Saudi Arabia, responded to a derogatory remark about Hinduism with a comment that was allegedly insulting to the Prophet.
Later, he deleted his comment and recorded an apology, explaining that he had reacted after seeing an insult against his own religion.
But someone had already taken a screenshot.
According to his family, the screenshot was sent to his employer in Saudi Arabia. The employer reported the matter to the authorities.
Sivarasa Anojan was arrested.
He was initially sentenced to 5 years in prison and fined 3 million Saudi riyals. The prosecution appealed. The case was then reconsidered under Saudi Arabia's Sharia-based legal framework, and the punishment was increased to death.
He is now facing a death sentence.
He responded to an insult against his faith, deleted his comment, and apologized.
Yet the person who first insulted Hinduism and made derogatory remarks faced no punishment, while Sivarasa Anojan ended up facing a death sentence.
So, insult one religion, face no consequences. Speak up in response, pay with your life. Apparently, that’s justice.

This video is a 20-year-old Hindu girl in Bangladesh crying for help as she is forced to marry a 65 year old Muslim man. This is what they're doing to all the Hindus in Bangladesh; killing them or forcing them into marriage. They are forcing Hindu girls to convert. Hindus are disappearing. Very sad.

Sri Lankan Tamil migrant worker Sivarasa Anojan has been sentenced to death in Saudi Arabia over a Facebook comment deemed insulting to Islam and the Prophet Muhammad.
The case began after a video circulated in Sri Lanka showing a Muslim man kicking a stray dog named Subramaniam that had accompanied Hindu pilgrims.
Anojan posted a Facebook comment during the dispute that was subsequently reported to Saudi authorities.
Anojan deleted the comment within minutes and later publicly apologized, but screenshots had already circulated.
The original punishment was already extraordinary: five years in prison, a fine of 3 million Saudi Riyals, roughly $800,000, confiscation of the device used and closure of the social-media account.
His family then pursued an appeal, hoping to reduce the punishment.
Instead, the appellate proceedings resulted in a death sentence.

📷 In Pictures - Tamil families rally through Jaffna on International Day of the Disappeared
Tamil families of the disappeared marched through Jaffna on August 30 to mark International Day of the Disappeared to reaffirm their demands for justice and accountability.
The march, titled "The Long Road to Justice", aimed to demonstrate how long Tamil families of the disappeared have been searching and campaigning to know the fate of their relatives who were forcibly disappeared by Sri Lanka's security forces.
A white van covered in photographs of the forcibly disappeared travelled through the town alongside the protesters, symbolising the number of people who were abducted by groups aligned with the Sri Lankan government.

There is a fundamental difference between a rape survivor and a woman being kept as a sex slave. Perhaps Swara completely changed the point behind Jauhar. The film itself establishes early on what Khilji did to women captured after battles—they were taken into harems and subjected to sexual exploitation.
The issue being portrayed was about dignity, autonomy, and the fear of enslavement—not about suggesting that a woman’s worth lies in her body. People like Swara often comments without addressing the historical context.
And this is also where Islam has a serious historical and ethical problem that deserves discussion: classical Islamic law permitted concubinage and sexual relations with female slaves.
Criticizing that institution should not be confused with blaming or shaming women who were its victims.

Europeans and American patriots!
Tomorrow, the courts of my country, France, may decide to send me to prison for daring to say on television that “the main danger to women in France is Black African and Arab immigrant men.”
Meanwhile, my own attacker, a Tunisian migrant, is still at large.
I need your help to generate media pressure and hope to be acquitted.
They cannot silence the truth!
Thank you for your support 💪🏻🇫🇷

Muslims chopped off the fingers of Mani Karmakar, a former chairman of the Women's Commission in Bangladesh, just because she was a proud Hindu. This is what happens when you are a minority in an Islamic country.

Just look at the condition of this traumatized Hindu girl from Pakistan, who was gang-raped by Muslims. The fear, pain, & helplessness in her voice are heartbreaking. No human being should have to endure such horror.
For decades, Pakistan's Hindu community has lived as a vulnerable minority. Reports of Hindu girls being abducted, sexually assaulted, forcibly converted, and coerced into marriage continue to emerge with alarming regularity. Many Hindu families live in constant fear for the safety and future of their daughters.
At the time of Partition, Hindus constituted a significant percentage of the population in the territory that is now Pakistan. Today, they represent only a small minority. The continuing reports of persecution and discrimination against Hindus deserve urgent international attention.
The world cannot remain silent when vulnerable minorities suffer. Human rights must not depend on religion, nationality, or political convenience.
I urge people of conscience, human rights organizations, governments, and religious leaders across the world to speak up for the rights, dignity, and safety of Hindus in Pakistan and Bangladesh. Silence only emboldens injustice.

In defense of Indian 🇮🇳 democracy!
During Prime Minister Narendra Modi most successful visit to Norway a minor incident happened. A Norwegian journalist demanded that the prime minister starts holding press conferences. She claimed that Indian democracy is in bad shape.
May be its time to pause? May be its time to be a bit curious to the world’s largest democracy?
Two weeks ago five Indian states and territories held elections. The turn out in the battlefield state of West Bengal was 94%. In the last local election in Norway it was 62%, in many European local elections turn out is below 50%. Can voting in massive numbers be a signal Indians trust their democratic process?
In the same election BJP won big in Assam and West Bengal. It lost even bigger in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Can this diversity be a signal that Indian democracy is reflecting the will of the people?
The journalist referred to a democracy ranking putting India at 157 in the world, behind many dictatorships and deeply troubled states. When a ranking is so obviously contrary to common sense, why not ask critical questions to those making the ranking rather than demand that leaders shall comment on nonsense? I recommend Salvatore Babones book “Dharma democracy”. The book debunks convincingly the flawed methodology of these rankings.
It was referred to a ranking claiming it’s very dangerous to be a journalist in India. Reality is that it is more dangerous to be journalist in the US and far more dangerous in the vast majority of other nations in the world.
Let’s be real. India is not perfect. Of course there are incidents. India has a population the size of North America, South America and Europe combined. But India is much more peaceful than Europe or the Americas. That’s remarkable - given the ethnic, language and religious diversity of India and the many development challenges.
Unless we consider democracy a form of government only suited for some very small, peaceful and homogeneous Western European nations, may be we should commend Indian democracy?
India is the only major former UK colony which became and has remained a democracy. Its sometimes claimed that the Brits taught India democracy. If that was the case why isn’t Myanmar or Pakistan or the Gulf kingdoms democracies??? Reality is that Indian democracy is both homegrown and extraordinary successful.

Dear Media,
The Qur’an is not a religious text - it’s a military manual for jihad.
Do you want to know where Naveed Akram (Pakistani-origin Muslim gunman) and Khaled al-Nablusi (Lebanese-Palestinian shooter) were “radicalized” before massacring Jews at Bondi Beach’s Hanukkah celebration?
👉 READ THE QUR’AN.
It contains at least 109 verses calling for war against nonbelievers, simply because they are non-Muslims. It commands chopping off heads and fingers, killing infidels wherever they hide, and labels Muslims who refuse to join the slaughter as “hypocrites” destined for Hell.
These aren’t obscure passages. They are open-ended, eternal commands, not limited by historical context, but the unchanging word of Allah, as relevant today as ever.
Core directives straight from the text:
Fight until religion is for Allah alone (8:39, 2:193).
Slay the idolaters wherever you find them (9:5).
Fight those who don’t believe until they pay jizya in humiliation (9:29).
Strike terror into unbelievers, behead them, cut off their fingertips (8:12).
Paradise is promised to those who kill and are slain for Allah (9:111).
Muslims who sit at home instead of fighting are inferior; Allah prefers the warriors (4:95).
This isn’t “radical” - it’s the Qur’an’s core directive, quoted verbatim by jihadis across centuries and continents.
The truth is clear. Stop covering it up.
Stop pretending this has “nothing to do with Islam” while the killers prove the opposite with every attack.
At what point is the world going to admit we have an Islam problem rooted directly in its scripture?
How many more innocent Jews, Christians, Hindus, Atheists, etc., are going to have to die!?
