I know there are probably hundreds of applications for the WeTalkSound Content Team Intern role, but I don’t think my interest in working with WTS is something I need to convince anyone of at this point. I’ve expressed it here more than once. (Through @idiscovrMedia)

I went to Abuja for my IT 2025. When I dropped at the airport I made a post on my Snapchat “Apex Village I am here where is the location” because I love @PsychoYP so much. Fast forward to August 25, 2025, I learnt that @Laimeonly was invited to Varuna… check reply

My interest in music goes beyond listening to it. I write about Afrobeats and the music business, create content that helps artists understand the industry, and break down songs and the ideas behind them.

Through iDiscovr, I’ve also partnered with A&R Listening Room which is also partnered with WeTalkSound. That relationship has given me another way to engage with the business of discovering and developing talent.

Building iDiscovr has made me think about the infrastructure around creative work: how talent gets recognised, and what happens after discovery. I want to understand more of that business from the inside. That’s why this opportunity matters to me. dubem-roan.vercel.app

I’ve even put together a Talent Acceleration & A&R Operations Blueprint specifically for WTS. It’s one way of showing that my interest goes beyond wanting to work there; I’ve been thinking about how I could contribute.

If the people responsible for discovering and developing talent are becoming fewer, how do we make sure great talent doesn’t get overlooked? We need better ways for talent to find the people they can create, grow, and build with.

Labels are cutting budgets and staff. Your success increasingly depends on the strength of your own team. The workload is relentless. The public only sees the results, never what it takes to achieve them.
