Relief is finally on the way! Beyond this evening there are no significant rain chances for quite some time, as illustrated by the Day 8-14 outlook from @NWSCPC. Meanwhile, daily highs in the 60s and lows mostly in the 40s are forecast from tonight into early next week.

@NWSWPC has issued a Slight Risk of excessive rainfall for parts of Iowa Saturday night. Rain will fall on and off tonight into Saturday, then more showers with isolated heavier thunderstorms will move through Saturday night, then additional rainfall around Tuesday-Wednesday.
sump pump is working fine. just too much water under the foundation of a 1948 house. opened a hole in the foundation to pump out the ground water. good times.
