I do like watching self described progressives redefine words seemingly as a coping mechanism to avoid facing the reality of what they mean. See also: 'top surgery', 'assisted dying'
Guys, if using their original terms makes you feel uncomfortable maybe there's a reason for that

Honestly thought they were great when they came to prominence, saw them several times as they graduated from upstairs rooms of pubs to bigger venues. Then someone pointed out the similarity between their oeuvre and this and can't take them seriously since

It was fortunate ICJ President at the time of the ruling Joan Donoghue was able to correct the widespread disinformation (even from the BBC!) by explaining what the use of the term ‘plausible’ actually meant in the context of the ruling. It refers to the plausibility of rights to bring the case or to be protected from genocide, *not* the plausibility of a genocide being committed.

Thanks for the accurate summary of my positions, though you forgot helping get Hasan Piker banned from UK.
Who paid for your visits to Iran?
Why do you think you weren't imprisoned like Lindsay & Craig Foreman?
Do you get paid for your appearances on Press TV? If so, how much?
Hi David @DavidTaylor85
You really should be careful about using your position to come after me, because once you do that, people are entitled to look at your own record.
You've gone after the BBC over my appearance and questioned why I was given a platform.
Let's look at your record.
•You backed the proscription of Palestine Action.
•You went after Francesca Albanese and opposed the renewal of her UN mandate.
•You've defended Labour Friends of Israel and pushed back against scrutiny of pro-Israel influence in Parliament.
•You've attacked the Green Party and Zack Polanski over their position on Palestine and Zionism.
•You even opposed parliamentary wording referring to "accusations of genocide" in relation to Israel.
And you've described Israel as a "lone beacon of democracy, freedom of speech and rule of law" in the region, while it disregards international law, refuses to work with Palestinian Arabs and kills journalists.
So forgive me if I'm not going to take lectures from you about who should or shouldn't be given a platform.
You have a very clear political position on Israel and Palestine. That's your right.
But when you then use your position as an MP to put pressure on the BBC because I was given a platform, people are entitled to ask whether this is really about "standards" or whether it's about the fact that you don't like what people like me say.
And if you want to abuse your political power to scrutinise me, I'm going to scrutinise you right back.
Hemel Hempstead should know who you REALLY are. Is the kind of MP they want representing them.
These days, you can't even - you can't EVEN - support a proscribed group for fear of being arrested, These days

Always happy to rebut mendacious anti-semitic activism

We got a furious response from the former Conservative minister Lord Michael Gove when we asked about his position on Israel at the Labour Conference.
Gove claimed he knew more about antisemitism than Zack Polanski, the only Jewish leader of a major political party in the UK. He also accused us of not being journalists and of an obsession with Israel, despite the Labour government's change in position on the occupation of Palestine being the key topic at this year's conference.
Gove now sits in the House of Lords and is editor of right-wing magazine The Spectator.
"Condiments are getting expensive and I get it. Whether it's marmalade on your toast or a gherkin in your burger, the price keeps climbing. That's why I've asked my friend John Healey to remove tariffs on both. It's a small change, but I won't accept there's nothing I can do."

I’d like to apologise.
The last week has finally made me understand that the real victims of the shocking rise in antisemitism are not Jewish people (and Jewish school children in particular) but Owen Jones, Sarah Helm and Sally Rooney.
I hope they’re ok and I’m very sorry for having got this wrong.
"Jason Arday was literally hounded to death. By this man, who I strongly encourage everyone to now hound. Rather inexplicably I am somehow still a KC"
There is nothing extraordinary about the central hill estate but they spent the last decade trying to maintain that it is, with a failed attempt to get it listed.
I'm sure Lambeth constituents will be pleased to see what doesn't get funded while this money pit enjoys renovation.
idea: why not try just making sure the bins get picked up instead of this continuous stream of sub sixth form student drivel

TBF the teachers who opt to take part in this filth do have their own agency, the fact that the NEU has a general secretary ill suited for the role is more a feature rather than a bug of trade unions as a whole.
The Bell report into antisemitism in schools is chilling reading. I believe the problem will remain while Palestine obsessives like Daniel Kebede are in control of our teaching unions.
