Congratulations to DUT Research Fellow Dr Suresh Babu Naidu Krishna, who has been named among the Global Top 2% Scientists for 2026! 👏
Ranked 1,339 globally in the biotechnology subfield, Dr Krishna’s research explores the potential of biotechnology and nanotechnology in healthcare and the environment, including new approaches to tackling drug-resistant pathogens.
His recognition adds to the positive research stories emerging from DUT. In 2026, the University received the NRF Focused Research Advancement Award for the third consecutive year and improved to ninth among South African universities in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2027.
Together, these achievements highlight the work of DUT researchers and the University’s continued progress in research and innovation.
