Wemby with a huge night
36 points 14/25 (4/10)
14 rebounds
5 assists
2 rebounds
3 steals
Devin Vassell deserves his flowers too
21 points of his own, shooting 3/3 in the clutch from the mid range, a put back slam and the closing lob assist to Wemby to close the game
When in doubt, the Spurs can count on their day ones

1. It’s not Luke vs. Vic. It’s never been Luke vs. Vic. I don’t know how those words even come out of his mouth. A complete lack of awareness.
2. You don’t mess around with someone who is struggling as badly as Kornet is. The backup big man is one of, if not, the most important player besides the starters on this team. Play the guy who gives you the best chance to win. It is not hard.
3. You drafted a player with the hopes that he would look as good as Tarris Reed has in limited minutes. This is the time to give him run. It’s the early part of the season where games matter less, but experience can be gathered.
Mitch Johnson is not the right guy for the job.
#Spurs coach Mitch Johnson on Luke Kornet’s early struggles this season: “
I think that part of that is the four guys (who) are out there with Luke need to be better. Sometimes, the Luke thing gets so exasperated because (the narrative) is Luke vs. Victor, at times.
“If it’s the same four guys that are out there with both, it's not just a Luke thing. That means they got to be better as well.” #PorVida

Wemby on a “mature” performance from Devin Vassell against the Jazz:
“He is sure in what he does, but we are also sure in what he does. We’ve got full trust in him.”

I beg your finest pardon Mr. Mitch Johnson?

Forever in shock at how Vassell locks in when it's late in the game, no matter how off/bad he's been prior to that.
