Our June calendar photo shows an air-inflated rubber dam installed across the Nilufer River in the Turkish city of Bursa. The dam is 1.5m high and 60.0m wide. It was installed in October 2015 and is used for recreational purposes.

We are also on site this week at Jolstravatn lake in Jolster municipality, Norway commissioning three pneumatic spillway gates which were installed over the summer. Gate dimensions (h x w) are 1.6m x 9.6m, 1.85m x 10.0m and 1.85m x 10.4m.

Last week, we also supervised replacement of one of three air-inflated rubber dams installed at the @AQN_Utilities Ste-Brigitte-des-Saults Hydro energy facility on the Nicolet River in Quebec, Canada. The dam is 1.11m high when fully inflated and 44.98m wide.

This week we are on site in Forestville, Canada supervising installation of a replacement rubber dam membrane at the RSP-2 hydro facility. This custom-made membrane was fabricated in less than 7 weeks from order and air-freighted to Canada to minimise loss of generating capacity.

We are currently installing three spillway gates at the outlet of Jolstravatn lake in Norway. Gate heights are 1.85m (two) and 1.6m (one). Width of each is 9.6m, 10.0m and 10.4m. The white material is HDPE sheeting which limits ice formation on the stainless steel gate panels.

Our May calendar photo shows a 2.6m high, 40.0m wide air-inflated rubber dam installed at Melen water park in the Turkish city of Duzce. The project was completed in September 2018.

Our March calendar photo shows a 1.5m high, 32.0m wide pneumatically-operated spillway gate across the Nabao River in Tomar, Portugal. The gate was installed in 2008 for environmental and flood protection purposes.

Our February calendar photo shows the 1.6m high, 43.0m wide, air-inflated rubber dam installed at the Regio Parco small hydropower plant on the River Doria Riparia in Turin, Italy. The dam was installed in 2017.

An interesting, if wet, first visit today to the site of our latest spillway gate project at Jolstravatn, Norway. We will supply and install three pneumatic spillway gates for Sunnfjord Energi at the outlet of the lake for water level regulation. Work to be completed by 04/19.

Our October calendar photo shows a beautiful setting within the city of Tokat in Turkey where a Dyrhoff inflatable dam is installed for recreational purposes. The rubber dam is 2.5m high and 30.0m wide.
