The day has finally arrived! My camp, The Great Engineering Bake Off @SciWorksMuseum kicked off today! Today the kids learned about units and measurements, creating measuring devices to bake sugar cookies. Then got a crash course in 3D printing from @WakeEngineering
What a unique opportunity to be a part of! Thanks @PresidentWente for spending time getting to know WFU faculty and their passions! Proud to be able to highlight our unique program @WakeEngineering
In episode four of #WalkWithWente, @PresidentWente walks and talks with Erin Henslee of @WakeEngineering about Henslee’s cell research, her collaborations across departments and schools and the importance of the “liberal arts engineer. ”

A member of the Henslee lab @WakeEngineering @WakeForest Sydney Joseph (center with AKA) is part of this group. Thanks @DrTayloriaAdams for hosting their summer research. I can't wait to see what projects come out of this summer!
Started in February and poster #1 already under his belt!
Blessed to be able to present my PhD research at the annual SBES Symposium yesterday! HUGE thank you to my PI, @e_henslee, and Undergraduate Research students (Sydney Joseph, Timothy Swimmer, and Julia Powers) for your support and mentorship on this work!! 🤗🩸🧫🎩
Last week we had a lab dinner to celebrate the end of the year and 3 graduating seniors @WakeEngineering These 3 started in my lab Feb 2020 (yup) as my first group members. They built the foundation of a collaborative, ambitious, and inclusive lab group.
All three are graduating with various honors, and have great jobs waiting for them. Between all those pictured, we have 5 conference posters, 2 talks, and at least 3 upcoming papers. Their pilot data helped get me @NSF CAREER last year.
More importantly, the entire group embodies @WakeForest #prohumantitate These humans (incl my 7yo) have supported all of my outreach including @kaleideum summer camps, @WakeDowntown events, mentor in various programs, campus community etc. I am bursting with pride.
Wrapping up @WakeEngineering final senior capstone presentations to a full house @WakeDowntown
We @WakeEngineering are so so proud of almum Ava! As an advisor and mentor I couldn't be more proud of her representing our vision of the @WFUCollege #prohumanitate Liberal Arts Engineer!
