Paris now has 180 gorgeous ‘school streets.’ They are pedestrianized and landscaped streets around schools - to mitigate crashes, prioritize walking to school, reduce noise and air pollution. No brainer, really.

Seconds before this 📷, this 🚘 made an aggressive maneuver around the car that was pulled over and turned right, past the barrier 🚧 into this closed street. Had My friend not reacted so quickly and horse collared my 👦, I would be in 🏥...or worse.

@BavarianTown : should we stop walking to businesses on Front Street with our families or are you guys going to get serious about making sure it is obvious that the people have the right of way there?

And...as we were walking home we saw yet another car confusingly - but at least slowly - wandering around the "closed" street.

Summary comments from Sijia Wang on the @NASEMTRB #trbitap conference: - we all talk about equity, but what metrics should we be using? Should they be defined by modelers? Community members? - do our models tell us stories about winners and losers?

Michelle Bina at #trbitap presenting an equity analysis for Denver...showing that the average 🚌🚈 trip in Denver takes 2.6 times as long as 🚗. 😳🥺 Time to start spending more 🛣️💰 stuck at CDOT on better transit service

Replying to @IndyGoBus
@IndyGoBus CEO Inez Evans addresses @NASEMTRB #itap about the planned BRT blue line which will be advertised at the airport with a big poster: "no on-demand pricing"

Great to see @IndyGoBus going beyond the transport of people to services...to bring services to people!

Giant events (super bowls, etc): not fun for transit agencies when they aren't reimbursed for the extra
