I just truly don’t understand how you can have so much talent, and resources, be at the top of the conference table, in the middle of the season, as a sixth year head couch, and lose to a 1-5 team. A 1-5 RIVAL team at that.

Southern Miss has all 3 rotation members back for 2027. In addition to Grayden Harris who struck out five in three innings Friday, Camden Clark and Camden Sunstrom dueled today. Clark is 93-95 with a swing and miss low 80s change up. Sunstrom is 92-93 with a wipeout mid-80s slider and change. Clark worked 3 scoreless innings and had 5 strikeouts, 4 coming on the change. Sunstrom threw 4 scoreless innings and fanned 3, all on the slider.

This was absolutely pathetic. We hung over 50 on USM two weeks ago, now we can't even beat a winless ULM? As the radio broadcast said, this is most definitely one of the worst Troy losses in recent memory. No amount of coach speak can fix this. We may not win another game.

You're busy calling it an excuse. "Financial sustainability" that you've entirely missed the relevant argument. "Win More" is a demand, not a plan. Demanding championships while dismissing resources needed for sustainability is wishful thinking. I'm meerly someone who wants a return to competitive championship level of football, and you attack me for it because you are bitter about another crap season of S. Miss football. I want sustainable solutions that speak to a decade of competitive football so you turn it on me. Kinda the way of the world these days. You've completely missed the real battle. Fire everyone is the battle cry, but if changing names fixed the financial gap, we'd have solved it several coaching searches ago. I'm looking for solutions, not excuses.
