The reason that calling Diwali as a “South Asian” rather than a Hindu holiday is so disingenuous is because Hindus were literally genocided by certain South Asian countries for being Hindu.
Whether Pakistan in 1971, Eelam Tamils during the Sri Lankan Civil War, or the apartheid conditions imposed on Hindus in South Asian Islamic States today, how can an entity hell-bent on erasing Hinduism claim its holy festivals?

Three days ago she was on television telling @kaitlancollins she was voting for @AbdulElSayed.
She has told people repeatedly she is supporting him.
As recently as yesterday — including her staff!
Then she releases a rambling statement demanding apologies from him — and then does this.
She told Politico that she made no demands of Mike Rogers before endorsing him.
Not a single one?
Her statements since endorsing him have been filled with what was done to her: she’s aggrieved and has sustained a narcissistic injury.
This is not Cindy McCain endorsing Joe Biden.

Ancient Scandinavia didn't even enter its unified Bronze Age until around 3,726 years ago, meaning this Indian yogic artifact alone predates established Scandinavian organized societies by nearly a thousand years!
