North Korea's hackers dumped $750M of stolen crypto on DEXs, but it cost them $107M.
MEV bots & Traders made over $50M. ETH hit $3,135 on-chain and AMM pools were temporarily emptied for their reserves.
So what exactly happened to the liquidity, and where did the $107M go?
In the end, DeFi and AMM pools remained quite resilient, handling billions of volume with the help from active MEV bots, arbitrageurs, and MMs replenishing supplies. North Korea’s rush to sell ended up costing them over $100M, to the benefit of these passive and active LPs, as well as block builders and validators.
I’ve created an experimental @Uniswap v4 hook for RWAs, inspired by the StablePair hook!
RWAHook is a dynamic-fee hook for assets with an external reference price, such as Stocks, Commodities, & FX, using an oracle to apply directional fees to help LPs retain more value.
It’s currently live on Arbitrum Sepolia with a sample SPY/USDC pair utilizing @Chainlink’s price feed as the reference price.
You can play around with it here:

You can find the code here:

Created a dashboard to show the liquidity depth & bid/ask spreads across some PropAMMs, DEXs, and CEXs
Currently tracking 7 pairs across Base and BNB PropAMMs like Tessera, @elfomo_fi, and @metricxyz
You can also simulate a swap to see the best source of liquidity!
I've also open sourced the code:

Inspired by @0xOptimus's dashboard for PropAMMs on Robinhood (propammspread.xyz/) and @titanbuilderxyz's dashboard for PropAMMs on Ethereum (pamm.wtf/)
