ISLAMIFICATION: Despite a population of 500 million, Arabs can’t produce science and literature. They don't win the Novel Prize, the Fields Prize, and the Wolf Prize. Prior to Islam conquering the Middle East the region was the most advanced in the world.

Want :)
American glass. American metal. American silicon. American batteries. American workers. American everything. BlueChip is the first American computer in decades. Don't let anyone lie to you and say it can't be done. Designed in California. Built in America.

Ant is an amazing business…
2 hours ago, Anthropic filed for an IPO. We went through the S-1 and broke it down in 6 charts:

One reason young people want socialism so much is that they're jealous that older people have it and they don't.

Mass immigration has been a catastrophe for Europe. There is no issue more urgent before the continent than to correct this mistake.

Nearly every phone and computer on Earth relies on one plain-text file to know what time it is. When a country changes its clocks with a few weeks’ notice, or Morocco pauses daylight saving for Ramadan, someone has to update that file. Since 02005, that someone has been Paul Eggert, a computer science professor at UCLA, who does it as a volunteer.  Take a look at this great data visualization to see the full story:  na2.hubs.ly/H08qtQC0

Same team handling the sandboxing of agent runs? 🤪
We keep improving performance across Claude, and you may have noticed it starts responding sooner! Claude Code now gzips the conversation it sends on every turn, so it reaches the model faster. Cloud sessions also start up as soon as you start typing.

Making cool stuff is the point
If your first question is "What's the point?" then you will never understand the answer. Because this IS the point. Some engineers felt like making a car with jump jets. So they did. Non-player characters do stuff so they can eat. Player characters eat so they can do stuff.

True And sad
A bon entendeur.

An impressive model result is the beginning of an engineering problem, not the end of one. The compiler got better. The program still has to be written, run and kept running

The rule that was in the prompt at step three is gone at step forty. A theory does not have those Tuesdays

Engineers say agency for a system choosing how to do a task we assigned. Everyday language means choosing what to pursue without being asked

Calling the system autonomous describes the decisions we delegated. It does not, by itself, establish a will of its own

If the world were moved by intelligence, the smartest people would hold the armies, the budgets and the law. We observe rather the opposite What moves the world is agency – stake, fear, desire, courage, a person others will follow. Intelligence shows up as staff. Agency shows up as the signature

An LLM has traces of that in enormous quantity and can render them well. The fuel is still the loop and the metric someone chose
36
We send it a context. It merges that with what it absorbed and outputs something we can run. We execute it, feed the result back, or we stop

That is the whole loop. The model is a compiler for intelligence. Everything else – what it sees, what gets executed, whether there is a next turn – is ours

The framework gets you to the demo. Production starts when capacity, durability, memory, and tool coherence stop being free
