1) december shipped a lot
team dropped 4 big protocol upgrades around breakpoint to push the “apps fully onchain” vision:
50k tps lightweight transaction scheduler that can run on commodity hardware
partnership for account compression to cut rent costs by 2–3 orders of magnitude
rollout in “military grade” data centers for extra physical security around tee / private defender rollups
2) breakpoint + builder ecosystem momentum
wrapped the hackhouse accelerator (10 days) supporting builders with engineering, storytelling, fundraising, pitching
hosted an in-person dinner in abu dhabi with larger companies working with the team
3) upcoming presale + snapshot details
snapshot taken dec 25 for users who interacted with magicblock quests / request page
presale planned for february with a whitelist split into:
- quest participants (onchain quests)
- core magicians (discord activity / role)
form will request discord role + pubkey (preferably the same pubkey used on the link on magicblock’s x profile)
there will be an option to participate at 100m fdv, positioned as the lowest valuation offered
4) cookie3 vs presale clarification
cookie3 is separate from presale / token distribution
cookie3 incentives are tiny (under 0.1% of supply) and mainly about helping content perform on x
presale goal is letting community members who believe in the project participate early
5) partnerships + product notes
pandemic labs (upcoming game “jail”) will use magicblock vrf for verifiable randomness
founder reiterated origin story: started as infra for fully onchain games on solana, then expanded into trading/finance/private use cases
monetization model: session fees + commits, with fees split between node operators and the protocol
6) community q&a + next steps
they’re open to running an ama soon, likely next week when there’s more presale info
asked about blockstraining: team doesn’t have inside info, but may try to reach out informally
possible future: magicblock nft collection idea got a positive reaction
best ways for devs to contribute: check open prs on github, stress test examples/templates, run the node, share feedback
