Had Hermes(@NousResearch ) build it's own phone chat menu and after a few iterations...working great now and starting to move away from Telegram. Amazing program.
Did this this weekend with our Sony TV, seems to be running a bit faster. Amazing times.🎉
Wanted to root my LGTV and install anti-spying and debloat the tv overall for speed.
Gave the task to Claude code, and Claude blocked it citing security policy and risk for a tv that I own.
Deepseek 4.1 flash did it neatly.
@AnthropicAI shove your moral posturing up your metaphorical arse please.
A must read for all IRs
Just in time for #LiverCancerAwarenessMonth: A new @JVIRmedia study outlines the role of #IRad in #livercancer care. IR treatments such as TACE, TARE & ablation offer targeted, minimally invasive options, often with fewer side effects & faster recovery: brnw.ch/21x6rgb
Been waiting for a good study on PTS. Well worth the wait.
C-TRACT (iliac venous stenting vs standard of care for PTS) with improved quality of life outcomes through 2 years. Congratulations to Dr Vedantham and the team #VIVA26 @VIVAPhysicians @SIRspecialists
OK,
Pangram is spooky and my mind is blown. I typed the text to my SIR2027 by myself but then used OpenAI to insert the references 1-5 as superscripts to the materials and methods section bc ..yes I thought it would be cute if it could figure it out the correct way...which it did. So just for fun I gave the completed text to pangram...well see below. Are you kidding me!! For those that don't know the red highlight means AI generated and the text I am showing is the 6% of the abstract with the only diff being there are superscripts of the references there...

Definitely something that was not on my bingo card for 2026...betting on clinical trials... interesting take
Clinical trials are advancing cancer care—but they're also becoming part of conversations far beyond medicine.
In the latest episode of Oncology Unscripted by Decera Clinical Insights, @marshalj23 explores the emerging trend of betting on clinical trial outcomes and what it says about the evolving intersection of healthcare, investing, and gambling.
Watch the latest episode for Dr. Marshall's perspective on this unexpected development and the broader questions it raises for the medical community: bit.ly/4kcAhlI

Yeah and then there is the fact that there are fewer kids playing pickup games on the street bc they are being carted to these events...in the ancient 70s and 80s, there was usually a soccer or baseball game happening within walking distance of your house...just had to listen for the shouting and laughing kids
Youth sports went completely insane at some point over the past several years. Parents spending thousands of dollars, devoting multiple days a week, traveling all around, all so their kid can obsessively play a particular sport and then graduate high school and never play it again. I actually think the “everybody’s a winner, the score doesn't matter” approach was preferable to this. Bring back the participation trophies if this is the alternative.
I thought third place WorlCup games were supposed to be boring...yes England we are sorry we said you shouldn't defend a 1 goal lead. You don't need to prove it with a 4 goal lead.
Jaw dropping, specially since he anonymously posted every students change in score.

Very interesting and surprising, but good news right?
For medical information, general AI frontier models (Google, OpenAI, Anthropic) outperformed specialized @openevidence and @UpToDate as assessed by 12 US clinicians, randomized and blinded to which model and extensive testing/benchmarks. This was not anticipated. @NatureMedicine

OpenAI is offering US healthcare workers early access to a special model which includes their prothinking mode in the eval process. On my first couple of queries, it has performed admirably on tough simulated cases providing good insight and citing sources.
