🤝This week is all about cooperation and engagement. 🇺🇦 At the Ukraine Financial Coordination Group meeting in Bangkok, I once again stressed the importance of international partners each doing their part when it comes to financing for Ukraine as it continues fighting against Russian aggression.

Pleased to take part in the 16th ministerial meeting of the Coalition of Finance Ministers for Climate Action 🌎 We discussed how to preserve macroeconomic stability and fiscal space while financing resilience and the green transition in the face of higher energy prices. The 🇪🇺 is taking action to accelerate the electrification of the economy and reduce exposure to imported fossil fuels ⚡️

🇺🇦Ukraine needs the means to defend itself – now. ✅Today the @EU_Commission disburses €2.86bn under the defence part of our €90bn Ukraine Support Loan. Drones, radars, ammunition and more: we are providing tangible support to address Ukraine’s most urgent battlefield needs.

Russia’s aggression against Ukraine must come at an ever-higher cost. Today, the EU added nearly 1,600 individuals and entities to our sanctions lists – our largest wave of listings targeting Russia’s war machine since the full-scale invasion. We will keep up the pressure.

Europe continues to face the consequences of an energy shock it did not cause. At today's #Eurogroup meeting, I stressed that any support for households and companies must be well targeted and prudent. The Recovery and Resilience Facility, the centrepiece of #NextGenerationEU, is approaching the finish line. Another milestone for #NextGenerationEU ✅ Today is the final day for 🇪🇺 Member States to submit payment requests under the Recovery and Resilience Facility. Thousands of reforms and investments funded by the #RRF have delivered real impact across the EU. Thank you for all the hard work!

Met with 🇺🇦 Finance Minister @SergiiMarchenk3 to discuss Ukraine’s financing needs, implementation of the Ukraine Support Loan, including the next €3.7 billion payment under 🇪🇺 Macro-Financial Assistance. We are also working to prepare Ukraine’s financial strategy for 2027. 🤝The EU remains steadfast in its support for Ukraine.

A pleasure to receive 🇱🇹 PM @mindaugasskink and Finance Minister @taurimas to discuss the priorities of the upcoming Lithuanian presidency of the @EUCouncil in early 2027. I welcome the ambition for a results-oriented Presidency, with security and competitiveness at its core. We also discussed Lithuania’s support to Ukraine and 🇪🇺 support to the Eastern Flank, and highly value Lithuania’s leadership in strengthening European security.
