Well said, @brian_armstrong and @cz_binance . Moments like this also remind us that the industry needs a better, safer way to move crypto between platforms.
@binance and @coinbase are industry leaders, and both are investors in @meshpay .
Both platforms embrace open banking APIs to make fiat deposits seamless. Yet when it comes to crypto, exchanges are still hesitant to enable secure, open banking type experience for deposits from one another.
Why? Because exchanges donβt want to lose deposits to competitors so they make the user experience as sub-optimal as possible for the end users. But making withdrawals harder wonβt stop users from moving their assets. It only makes the process less secure and opens the door to attacks like this.
With 300+ integrations, @meshpay already has the infrastructure to make crypto transfers safer, simpler, and more seamless, reducing reliance on manual wallet addresses and potentially preventing certain types of transfer-related attacks.
Iβd love to see Binance and Coinbase lead the way in building a safer, open crypto deposit standard for the entire industry.
Mesh is willing to provide this infrastructure at zero cost.
Security shouldnβt be a competitive advantage. It should be an industry standard.
Our team is doing everything we can to support in the current situation, including blocking sends to compromised wallets. We've also reached out to Binance to offer our help.
Moments like this call for the industry to work together. Openly sharing any useful information and helping to protect customers should come first, regardless of which platform they use. If you can do anything to help, please do!
Crypto has been through many tough times, and has always come out stronger on the other side. This wonβt be any different.

π Mesh Γ Visa. 175 MILLION merchants. One giant leap for the future of money!
Six years ago, I started Mesh with a simple belief: Money should move freely. Anywhere. Anytime.
Today, weβre turning that vision into reality.
Through our groundbreaking partnership with Visa, crypto and stablecoin balances can now become spendable at 175 million merchants worldwide.
No separate card. No cash-out. Just tap and pay.
This isnβt just crypto going mainstream. Itβs blockchain and tokenization going mainstream! π
Six years in the making. And this is just the end of the beginning. π
π€ Unveiling it LIVE on the main stage at Money20/20 today at 10:40am PST!
Mesh and @Visa are partnering to make crypto and stablecoin balances spendable anywhere Visa is accepted: 175M+ merchant locations, straight from the wallet apps people already use.
No separate card. No cash-out. Nothing for merchants to change.

the united states needs crypto in a way that your average person has zero understanding of
proliferation of stablecoins and tokenized stocks extends US Dollar dominance & in turn increases net buyers of US Debt at scale in a way that cannot be easily replicated
your benefit of being here & understanding this is a massive advantage that you should not take lightly

4 years ago when I said weβd see more fragmentation than consolidation, some people called it a contrarian view. That was our core thesis for @meshpay! Not only have we proven right, but now weβre seeing 10x more fragmentation. New asset classes are coming on-chainβmortgages, equities, prediction markets, deposits, credits, etc.βcausing even more fragmentation. This is a 100Tn market opportunity and multi-trillion-dollar companies (#teracorns) will be born in that market.
In early 2024, crypto card spending was concentrated in a single chain: Gnosis, home of Gnosis Pay (the first Visa card connected directly to a self-custodial wallet). As new card programs have launched, the number of card settlement chains has expanded.
As of July, Optimism carries about 29% of crypto card spend volume, Solana about 19%, and Base about 19%, according to Paymentscan. Gnosis has dropped to about 2%.

π¨BIG ANNOUNCEMENT π Six years ago, when we started Mesh, most people thought crypto payments were a niche idea.
The industry was fragmented. Wallets didnβt talk to exchanges. Blockchains didnβt talk to each other. Every company was building the same infrastructure over and over again.
We had a simple belief: one day, moving value globally would be as seamless as moving information on the internet.
Not many people believed it then.
Today, some of the biggest names in payments, crypto, banking, and fintech trust Mesh as a core part of their infrastructure. We work with companies that collectively move trillions of dollars, and together weβre helping build the foundation for the next generation of global commerce.
Thatβs why todayβs MAP announcement is meaningful to me.
The future of money will not be won by a single blockchain, wallet, exchange, bank, or stablecoin. It will be built through connectivity. Through open networks. Through interoperability.
MAP is another step toward that future: bringing together industry leaders to create a more connected ecosystem where value can move freely across networks, platforms, and borders.
What excites me most is that weβre still at the very beginning.
The opportunity ahead is significantly larger than anything weβve accomplished so far.
To everyone who believed in us early, thank you.
And to those who want to help build the future of payments, financial access, and the tokenized economy: weβre hiring.
There has never been a more exciting time to join Mesh. πππ

It took me 35 years to learn this: If youβre half-in, youβre actually all-out. Even 90% in gets you nowhere. Thereβs something magical in that last little bit. It's where you unlock new levels to the game. Simply because so few have the courage to do it.

π Today is a big day: Mesh has officially secured a $75M Series C, bringing our valuation to $1B. π¦
Fifteen years ago, I came to the United States with almost nothing, driven by belief, grit, and an obsession with building meaningful businesses. After years of endless nights, hard lessons, and selling my previousΒ startup, I took the leap again six years ago and started Mesh. What began as a bold idea is now a $1B company, built alongside an extraordinary team, trusted partners, and world-class investors.
This is more than a funding announcementβitβs the beginning of the end for legacy payments.
For too long, global commerce has relied on systems designed decades ago: networks optimized for batch processing, delayed settlement, and geographic silos. Incumbents have locked commerce into closed networks, extracting high fees and limiting choice for merchants and consumers alike.
That model worked for a while, but it doesnβt work today.
At Mesh, we believe payments should be easy, instant, and interoperable by default. Any asset. Any chain. Any geography.
Ultimately, todayβs announcement is bigger than crypto. Itβs about building a new financial systemβone that actually works for everyone, not just those who profit from high friction.
I want to thank our customers and partners, as well as the investors who participated in this Series C, including Dragonfly, who led the round, along with Paradigm, Moderne Ventures, Coinbase Ventures, SBI Investment, Liberty City Ventures, and others.
Becoming a unicorn is not the finish line. It marks the end of the beginning. We are now stepping into our next chapter with momentum, setting out to build a generational business that defines the future of payments. Our next milestones are clear: $1B in revenue and $1T in volume.
π Mesh has closed a $75M Series C at $1B valuation. π¦
This is more than a funding roundβitβs the beginning of the end for legacy payments.
For too long, global commerce has been stuck with systems that are slow, siloed, and expensive for both merchants and users. That era is ending.
What weβve built so far:
β
A unified global network across wallets, chains, and assets
β
Any-to-any payments via SmartFunding, with instant settlement in the merchantβs preferred currency
Weβre also rapidly expanding across LATAM, Asia, and Europe.
Now we move into the next phase: building the universal payments network for a truly tokenized, borderless economy. Any asset. Any chain. Any geography.
Thanks to our customers, partners, and investors, especially @dragonflyvc, @paradigm, @ModerneVentures, @cbventures, SBI Investment, and @LCVentures.
