The past and future can exist only with reference to the present. While occurring, they too are only the present. Therefore, the present alone is real. Trying to know the past or future without knowing the truth of the present is like trying to count without knowing the number one.

Q: How to get rid of maya?
~ Ramana Maharshi:
Do not try to conquer maya. Be in your real state and maya will go away of its own accord. If you attempt to conquer it, it will lead you into many difficulties.
BE! If you get any other extraneous thoughts, find out who gets them. But whether or not you think that you are the real Self, you are always That.
There is so much worry, so many yoga techniques for such a simple patent thing as Self-realization! Why? You are the real Self: how can you be different from it?
Conscious Immortality
WHAT IS ENLIGHTENMENT? By HWL Poonja
Enlightenment is here, now and forever. If you have no concepts, you know this directly and indubitably. But if you are attached to any concepts, you are not aware of this. In this ignorant state you think that you have to attain enlightenment because you are not aware that you are already free, that you have always been free.
You therefore set up a goal for yourself, call it enlightenment, and then make great efforts to attain it.
If you seek enlightenment in this way, you must have some idea of what it will be like. The mind is very clever and very tricky. If you put an enormous amount of energy into attaining and experiencing this goal, the mind will create this desired experience for you and allow you to enjoy it. But it will not be the experience of enlightenment; it will be the experience of your concept of what enlightenment is. When this happens, you will think that you are enlightened because your experience will correspond exactly to your preconceived idea of what enlightenment is. These mind-induced experiences are not the permanent, natural state. They are temporary mental experiences that will come and go in time.

WEI WU WEI
The Illusion of Self (Ego): Wei Wu Wei argues that human unhappiness stems from acting on behalf of an ego ("self") that does not truly exist. He believed that the concept of a separate "I" is a false illusion, and this "I-concept" is the source of all evil and unhappiness.

The Essential…
#Osho
In meditation, there are a few fundamental elements. The method may differ, but these essentials remain the same for all methods.
The first is a state of deep relaxation—no struggle with the mind, no control over it,
no effort to concentrate.
The second is: whatever is happening, watch it silently, with alertness—without any interference, without becoming involved. Just remain calm and aware, without judgment, without evaluation—simply keep watching the mind.
These are the three: relaxation, witnessing, and non-judgment.
And slowly, slowly, a profound silence begins to descend upon you. All inner movements come to a halt. You are… but the sense of “I am” is no longer there. Only a pure, vast sky remains.
There are one hundred and twelve methods of meditation. I have spoken on all of them. They differ in structure, but their foundation is the same: relaxation, witnessing, and a non-evaluative awareness.

Awareness is beyond mind, much beyond it. Mind gives you doubts, fears, and worry, and keeps you unaware of That beyond the mind. The role of mind in the play is to keep the person in the dark, in the past. Where there is no mind there is no time or past. This is the Ultimate Truth.

I used to need answers for everything.
A label for every feeling.
A reason for every event.
A narrative that made it all make sense.
Then I noticed something: the label "tree" says almost nothing about the living being in front of me.
The story of "my life" captures almost nothing of this moment.
We're addicted to naming things.
We don't take reality seriously unless we can explain it.
But the map is not the territory. And the territory is alive, breathing, and infinite.
Try this: for one minute, experience something without naming it.
Just see. Just hear. Just be.
What you find in the gap between labels is more real than any story you've ever told.

Before you think, reality is whole.
No "me" and "world."
No "inside" and "outside."
Just seamless being - an undivided isness.
Then thought arrives and draws impermeable lines everywhere.
This is me. That is not me.
This is good. That is bad.
This is mine. That is yours.
The lines feel absolutely real.
But their impenetrable boundaries are not in the world -
they're in the thinking.
What if you stopped drawing lines
for just a moment?
What remains is what was always here:
one undivided life, under the appearance of the many.

It alone exists always.
Talking of the 'witness' should not lead to the idea that there is a witness and something else apart from him that he is witnessing.
The 'witness' really means the light that illumines the seer, the seen and the process of seeing. Before, during and after the triads of seer, seen and seeing, the illumination exists. It alone exists always.

Sex is of the body, an instinct.
Thought is of the mind, an intellect.
Love is of the heart, an intuition.
Sex enters the mind and ruins thought.
Thought enters the heart and ruins love.
Love has nowhere to go, but be.
Love ruins nothing.

Whenever you are really YOUR BEING you are a nobody, a vast emptiness a whole sky with no boundaries. And then you are not only with yourself you are with the trees, with the clouds, with the mountains, with the sands and with the seas... when you are with yourself you become the whole...
If you want to be with me, to be with me is not the way. If you want to be with me, to be with yourself is the way. And that is the insistence of all the Buddhas: Know thyself and you will know me, because in knowing yourself you have known all...
A Jesus comes and people start being attached to him. The whole point is lost. A Buddha comes and people start their journey to know the Buddha and they become so much obsessed with it that they forget that their own Buddha is just inside themselves. He is not outside.
And the way to know the outside Buddha is to know the inside Buddha. When you are completely within yourself you have known all Christs, all Buddhas, all the Masters that have ever existed, and also all those which will ever exist, because you become one with the whole. Knowing oneself one knows the whole...
Don't cling to me, I am here to make you free. I am here to help you to be completely, authentically yourself.
If you have accepted me as your Master then you have to understand what I am saying. If you have accepted me as your Master then the only way for you is to know yourself.
Forget about me, move withinwards. One day when you will be standing in your own total glory, in the magnificence of your inner being, in the inner light -- there you will find me. Not as a separate being, not as an object, but as the very innermost core of your own self.
