Made a film about a band in the pandemic and won an award for it. Huge thx to @FilmEdmonton for screening Lift Me Up. It was a thrill to see on @themetrocinema screen. Also thx to @aylabrook for letting @NTTFilms film them hauling drums & guitars to the roof of @StarliteRoom.

🎉 It's winner, winner, chicken dinner @FilmEdmonton for #yeg filmmaker @edenmunro for his doc about @aylabrook band!
🎥 He spoke to @CBCRadioActive about the process of making the doc, which is like a neat pandemic time capsule.

Thanks to @JessicaNgCBC and @CBCRadioActive for having me on to talk about my short film on @aylabrook. Sat Oct 15 it’s playing at the Edmonton Short Film Festival at @themetrocinema cbc.ca/listen/live-radio/1-5…
The @JrGoneWild1 #documentary is now leaner and meaner at 1 hr 49 mins & 58 seconds, and a few more steps closer to the end. #rockumentary #film

Thanks everyone for the warm reception to our mini-documentary - and these kind words from @fisheyefoto interviewing director @edenmunro of @NTTFilms in the @edmontonjournal
Find this and the doc online now.
Ayla Brook on top of the @starliteroom. The @NTTFilms short documentary I made about @aylabrook is now on the band’s YouTube and Facebook pages, but tonight you can see them in real life at 10:30pm @yegcanoevolant (and then you can watch the film tomorrow).
Ayla Brook & the Sound Men released Desolation Sounds just as the pandemic was hitting. I directed a short film about the band, the record and a rooftop gig at the @StarliteRoom, and it’s premiering Friday night at 7 pm MST on the @aylabrook YouTube and Facebook pages.
