A year ago, we told Dasha’s story. An 8-year-old girl arrested alongside her family by armed Border Patrol agents in downtown Chicago. Her photo, clutching her doll as agents surrounded the family, became a symbol of an operation that was arresting brown people regardless of criminal background. The whole family is now home.
