RSPB - Time Flies

ALT ‘Focus on relationships, not just results’ - Don’t chase direct conversions with your social media content. Instead, focus on delivering what your audience truly wants to see. By creating content that resonates, you will help foster strong emotional connections between your supporters and your hospice, and build long-term relationships.

ALT ‘Make the most of micro-influencers’ - Micro-influencers are a valuable tool if you are looking to reach new audiences on a budget. By teaming up with local personalities who have a small but loyal following, you can amplify your reach to help with fundraising, to drive event participation, or promote your local charity shops.

ALT ‘Authenticity is key’ - Overly polished or designed content doesn’t connect as well with your audience. Instead, share real photos and true stories from your hospice—about your patients, nurses, and the families you support. Share the everyday moments of joy, create content that honestly reflects life at the hospice, and don’t shy away from talking about death and dying.

ALT Legacy Roundtable speakers: Jenny Girdlestone, Legacy and In Memory Officer at HorseWorld, Audrey Cornelius, Director of Fundraising at British Liver Trust & Children's Liver Disease Foundation, and Stephen Rowland, Head of Partnerships at Farewill. Guest Co-host: Helen Smith, Head of Legacy Engagement, RNIB.
