The fault of Rick Berman who fired Ron Jones, the John Williams of episodic television, because his scores were too conspicuous (I.e. affecting and memorable).
I’ve always thought it’s a shame the season after is where they start pulling back on the show having a really present score cause the music is what really makes this cliffhanger what it is for me

Patrick Stewart is no more. Captain Picard is immortal. But what of the tension between the mortal actor and his timeless creation? Dr M is here to help you negotiate those difficult contradictions as you grieve. youtu.be/_NpcypNKMZk

The trick is to know when to stop watching.
I hope a lot of you start watching TNG because not only is it a magnificent feat of television/acting/prosthetic magic, it’s often a welcome antidote to feeling absolutely hopeless about the state of the world.

Any word from mandroid Patrick Stewart on how he’s finding his new body?

It’s lovely that you’re all mourning Patrick Stewart, but remember it was my idea to idolise him. I was the first to like Captain Picard. I did it before you, and the character meant more to me than you will ever know or feel. So dry your eyes and know your place. #patrickstewart

I haven’t canvassed like this since I was 20, and now I’m debating taking a break for a day to go home and watch Star Trek and cry 😭

One of PATRICK STEWART's greatest roles was Jean-Luc Picard in Star Trek: The Next Generation - a Captain who stood up for what was right. He delivered many great speeches in the role. This, from The Measure of a Man, is one of the best.

Jean-Luc Picard is one of the greatest characters ever to fill the small screen. No man could have made him more authoritative, dignified, thoughtful and inspiring than Patrick Stewart. Adieu, mon capitaine. #theskysthelimit

“He’s never raped anyone in front of me.”
Russell Brand's wife Laura tells court he is 'caring, kind a wonderful father to our children. He is an amazing, attentive husband.' They had a relationship before he married Katie Perry, then got back together after Brand and the singer divorced

Most interesting part of #Budget2026 was Healey inventing a new UK city - “Glasgoyd”. Can’t wait to learn where it will be.

For the same reason that a problem employee in a business who returns to work after extended leave, only to do fuck all, complain about their employer's mishandling of them, then go on extended sick leave, then quit, doesn't get a leaving party. #EastEnders
#EastEnders How could they get it so right for Nigel but so devastatingly wrong for Zoe who was a legacy character. Her whole storyline from start to finish was handled so terribly with poor writing and plot holes all over the shop. Did Wadey even care about her the way he claimed he did? What's worse is how the Zoe storyline circles back to Max when he only slept with her ONCE and hardly shared any scenes with her since. How have EE bombed so much with this storyline?

A sad episode of #EastEnders as memories of Michelle Ryan’s disastrous second stint as Zoe were buried.

Coolest thing Walter Koenig did was fail to tell anyone Chekhov wasn't in Space Seed during the production of Wrath of Khan.

It’s pronounced Bad-Enoch.
It’s a small thing but it’s a bit weird that Farage (and others, not least on BBC) still can’t pronounce ‘Badenoch’ properly. Bay-, not Bad-.

Alexei Sayle's Stuff (26th October 1989). Joan of Arc (Jan Ravens) is subjected to an intense interrogation. Angus Deayton is asking the questions in this sketch written by Andrew Marshall and David Renwick.

A tough day for William Shatner, who will need to be reminded which character Walter Koenig played on the original Star Trek.

Putin wouldn’t like it, after all.
