Mental toughness often comes gift wrapped in failure and struggle. The sign of a champion is how one responds to a bad day. When you wake up tomorrow, it's a new day and a new you. Trust the process and love what you do. The journey to success is never a straight and easy path.

Leaders should have the humility and courage to admit that they can benefit from those they serve, and actively seek their ideas and contributions. This is how they can create a culture of learning and an atmosphere that encourages everybody to become the very best they can be.

As a leader, you have to not only do the right thing, but be perceived to be doing the right thing. A consequence of seeking to be a leader is being put under intense public scrutiny, being held to high standards, and enhancing a reputation that is constantly under threat.

The reputation and integrity of any leader is everything, They must always strive to be consistent and follow through on what they say they will do. Their credibility can only be built over time and only through the history of their words and matching actions.

The genuine leader serves. Serves people. Serves their best interests, and in doing so will not always be popular, may not always impress them. But because genuine leaders are motivated by concerns of their people than desire for personal glory, they are willing to pay the price

Effective leaders do not get things done by issuing orders and directives to obedient underlings. Rather, they achieve success by unleashing the energy of the organization and by creating an environment that generates a sense of commitment and engagement in their people.
