What a year for gaming! Not even done yet, but my current GOTY standings are something like: 1. Baldur's Gate III 2. Armored Core VI 3. Final Fantasy XVI 4. Street Fighter 6 5. Resident Evil 4 Shockingly, neither Spider-Man 2 nor Tears of the Kingdom make top 5!

Baldur's Gate 3 might be my ultimate comfort game. It not only takes me back 20 years to a formative gaming experience playing BG2, but to a cherished time when I had an active D&D group. Truly special.

This is INSANE!! I look at this photo and I legit tear up, never in my wildest dreams as a kid could I ever imagine fighting games being this big. I love the FGC!

Finished #FF16. Loved it. It has glaring flaws, terrible side quest design, pacing issues, paper deep gear and loot systems. Despite all that the core gameplay, presentation and story were all incredible. Beautiful game in a lot of ways.

Okay now that I have the 2x Capcom Cup champ in my corner imma say it. Drive Rush in its current state is a detriment to #StreetFighter6.

Im having the same experience 4 players had in 5. Street Fighter 6 is the scrubbiest sf i've played, hope it keeps getting better like 5 year by year.

I'm very happy that 2D Mario has personality again after the milquetoast 'New Super Mario Bros' era.

Finished Tears of the Kingdom, put about 90 hours into it. A good game but didn't recapture the magic of BotW for me. New powers felt deceptively shallow, shrines weren't as challenging, followed BotW formula too closely, underground was dull. I miss curated Zelda games.

theres always some fascinating eva stuff happening in china these days. there's a blood donation drive under the unit-01 statue in shanghai starting later in the week and i'm pretty sure theyre calling this the "blood donation instrumentality project"
