Powerful to join today’s @EveryAustralianCounts forum. In awe of Senator Jordan Steele-John and Dr George Taleporos’ advocacy. The next 20 days matter—speak up and help protect our NDIS. eac.good.do/stopfixprotect/e… #ProtectOurNDIS @EveryAustralian

Presented. Advocated for my NDIS. Then came physio—the last thing I felt like doing. But every tough session is an investment in my future mobility, strength and independence. Showing up matters. 💙 #Stroke #Rehab #NDIS

Woke exhausted today. Fatigue, ataxia and nerve pain made lecturing feel impossible. So I went for a swim. Meaning is my medicine. I don’t just teach occupational therapy—I aim2live it. Meaningful occupation helps me show up, even on the hardest days. #OT #MOHO #LivedExperience

As the days get darker, everything feels heavier. Layers can feel like extra weight to carry. But the jacket & gloves are keeping me warm & protecting me. Sometimes we focus so much on what feels heavy that we forget some of those things are actually carrying us through

Time in the water feels so therapeutic for my posture. Walking with a walking frame means I’m constantly arching my back & holding my body in one position, so being in the pool gives me the freedom to move in the opposite plane, stretch out, open up and release all that tension!

Watching this you might just see someone swimming breaststrokeWhat I feel is something very different-coordinating everything takes huge concentration and effort. It's not automatic. It's work. But the more I practice, the easier it gets! What is it that you could get better at?

Walking my dog her lead loops over my walking frame. Actually the lead often gets caught in my wheelBut the freedom&fresh air make trying to untangle it worthwhile.Sometimes independence isnt about doing thingsperfectly. It's aboutfinding a wayto keep doing thethings that matter
