Seems to me if you're an ex player in charge there's zero accountability. But if you're a foreign coach just outside the top 4 playing a back 3 demanding standards you're a criminal to football and must be removed.
📌
Rio Ferdinand, NOW you want INEOS to speak? Where was this energy when Amorim was calling out the board while trying to rebuild Manchester United? You backed Rashford’s return, supported Carrick’s appointment, and stayed silent when Amorim needed support against the club’s decision-makers.
Now the damage is becoming impossible to ignore, suddenly INEOS must speak?
Amorim was demanding accountability when United still had a direction. The people who questioned him owe us answers too. You cannot stay quiet during the decisions and demand explanations only when everything falls apart. #MUFC

Who saw him running a motor vehicle show on TV? Wow. I thought this dude must be the best I have seen. Even better than grand prix commentators. He spoke so fast, so accurate & made one almost place an order for the car he was talking about.
Fast forward, he was into sports news. A few months later, he was bossing one of the best shows on television in this country.
His football knowledge is so impeccable that you would think he reads every sports search engine in the world. Nothing he says including predictions goes against him. Only those of @ManUtd because he uses his heart more than his knowledge.
He spearheaded a twitter space sponsored by Super Sport. He was kind enough to have me among others to discuss mainly EPL. This endeared many football twitter users who I could tell used the knowledge for football odds.
Before we all knew it, he was gracing the World Cup arenas making live studios for Africa. Russia, Qatar, & the Americas, he never missed. We couldn’t wait to glean over World Cup news especially the off the field one.
Seeing him host African stars on SS for Champions League games is refreshing. It’s like he’s been doing this for many seasons.
He speaks fast without making any single howler. He oozes confidence, knowledge, and stage presence. His sense of humor is unmatched. Some of us miss his Runyankore skits.
For those close to him, he’s not into football only. He’s into basketball, boxing, marathon, anything sports.
His name is @andrewkabuura. Andrew, you make us proud as Ugandans. What do I think you will soon have permanent presence at SS or BBC sport? Who knows? I feel you haven’t revved even 50% of you football engine. Man, I respect you a lot.
God bless you Andrew & your beautiful family. Kindly accept your flowers. @nextmediaug @NBSportUg
Amorim had balls, never scared to speak up.
will forever respect him for that❤️
Amorim was bold enough to call out the owners, and it got him sacked. He told us that things might look bad on the pitch, but he wasn’t failing outside it.
Carrick had the same opportunity to speak up for the club today, but chose not to. Any other manager would call out the board, but Carrick doesn’t have the balls to do it. You can even see that lack of conviction on the touchline.

#UgandaAt64: Our People Are the Destination
Ask a visitor what they remember most about Uganda, and they will begin with the gorillas or the Nile, wonderful as both are; they will tell you a lot more about the people.
The guide who read the forest like a favourite book, the rider who delivered them safely with a joke thrown in for free, the woman at the roadside market who pressed a second mango into their hands “for the journey,” the host who learned their name on the first evening and used it every morning after.
This is the secret we have been keeping for 64 years. Mountains can be matched elsewhere, and waterfalls can be photographed anywhere, but a welcome like ours, quick to laugh and slow to let a stranger stay a stranger, cannot be copied or imported.

When the great tree falls, do not immediately watch the branches.
Watch the people who once sat beneath its shade.
Some will mourn the tree. Others will measure the timber.
The birds that built their nests there will suddenly find another tree. The hands that were fed by its fruit will forget who planted it. Old grudges will emerge from the forest, dressed as tradition, duty and concern.
And while everyone argues over what belonged to the tree, look for the woman sitting quietly beside its roots.
She remembers when it was only a seed.
She watered it before it gave shade. Protected it before it bore fruit. Stood beside it through every storm. She loved it when there was absolutely nothing to inherit.
Yet when the tree falls, even she may discover that those who once bowed before its branches have no difficulty stepping over its roots.
That is the cruel lesson of death:
Some people loved the tree.
Others only loved the shade.
Time eventually tells the difference.

Omukyala akoze atya?
Unpopular view (borrowing from @AKasingye ): I think men should do DNA as standard medical procedure for their families. The same procedures should be available in district medical centers as part of initial checks ups, together with blood group records. This should have nothing to do with trust issues in a marriage - just standard medical practice for proper family records.
I come in peace 🙏

Time rewards those who refuse to abandon their WHY.
Be patient with the process. Resilient through the storms. And when the journey becomes heavy, revisit the reason you began.
Change the strategy. Adjust the pace. But do not surrender the purpose.
Time eventually separates commitment from excitement.
Stay the course.
