If only all those silly drills for layouts in the high jump and landing in long jump were put towards more approach and take off mechanics.
Imagine being 18 events deep and then having to triple jump though.

Ok I know we only found out about 7 seconds ago that the Games are officially delayed but Im already curious if, at all, this will change the qualifying process for track & field athletes next year. The points system gets a little more complicated since this year is a total wash.
Well done, @usatf. Thank you for prioritizing the health and peace of mind of your athletes. We need all NSO's from all countries to put pressure on their OC's, to put pressure on the IOC.
To encourage the athletes to continue to prepare as best as we can, while our governments are literally telling us to stay home and stay away from each other, is absolutely ridiculous. They cannot possibly be this out of touch with reality 🤯 WE CANNOT DO BOTH.

This is bigger than us now. This is bigger than the Olympics. People are being impacted in devastating ways by this, and yet we are essentially being encouraged to not do our part as humans to stop the spead, and to continue business as usual, which is wildly irresponsible.
