i’m deciding to post my kofi in case anyone wants to help out with the vet bills. this is NOT an emergency- we can cover this, but it has been >$13k so far and did fully deplete my savings & i have almost $5k on a card i need to pay off in six months.

DAY EIGHT!!! over half way!!! my sweet pea is currently like this on my leg and making biscuits. she’s so sweet. first vet checkup is friday :)
she has been having some loose bowel movements for a few days, but i think it was one of her meds that i’ve since been able to discontinue use of (it was a secondary appetite stimulant). so im hoping with that out of her system she’ll do better
day seven… we have made it to day seven. we are halfway thru. i’m so incredibly anxious every day to the point i can’t eat and sleep is hard, but we’re getting there. i’m currently in the playpen with her before im gone for the next 14 hours on a work trip
my mom mentioned how waking up every hour during the night is probably contributing to how poor i’m doing and. she’s got a point but at the same time i am petrified that if i don’t something will happen and i will miss it
and thank you so, so, so much everyone who has donated for help with the vet bills. they’re another factor of stress i haven’t had take over me yet with everything else going on. this is the worst week of my life and that’s really saying something
i do apologize for my delay with dm’s, updating my trello, etc. i have spent the majority of the weekend crying and not doing much. me and my partner just went long distance again until further notice, he got a really good job but it’s 2 hours away and we won’t reunite fully-
until we can find a house. and that’ll take time. my job is forcing me to go to columbus for an overnight, and that’s almost 5 hours away during a time where charlotte needs constant supervision. there’s no way out of it. my mom is going to come spend the night here on that day-
onto day five of recovery… she’s doing really well. the liquid medicine isn’t easy but she has started taking pill pockets for her antibiotic and that’s the one that really matters so i’ll take it
end of day one of charlotte recovery at home (aka day 3 post-op): she’s doing well! slept most of the day but was active for a bit. got tons of attention and was watched the entire day via camera. she went pee + ate some dry and wet food. incision looks good. so far, success!
charlotte is fully settled in, has eaten a few times, had a normal bowel movement earlier and took her meds with minimal fight. she’s in a big playpen designed for a husky and doing well :) i’ll keep updating and posting about her during recovery
