"I never thought we would live in a world without Patrick Stewart."
Fake fan. Real fans were nervously contemplating his mortality after his angioplasty in 2004.

What a heartbreaking week it has been. Sir Patrick Stewart was a friend, a colleague, and a magnificent actor. From the stage to the bridge of the Enterprise, he brought intelligence, grace, and a deep sense of humanity to everything he did. Captain Picard stood for the best of us, and so did the man who played him. I was filled with affection and admiration for him and his work.
My heart goes out to Sunny and his family. He will be deeply missed.
Damn, the Irumodic Syndrome finally got him

Hey John Apple, I have five kids I need to deal with this morning. Let me order my damn $2,000 phone.
James Talarico just texted me personally. He’s asking me to break him out of the Lindner Center of Hope.
The Millennium Problems don’t move me, but I will shed a tear when the 17 squares problem falls to our digital gods.
1/2
Me + Codex (@ChatGPT) pushed the lower bound for packing 11 unit squares into a square from 3.826447… to 3.875.
That closes 95.89% of the gap to the best known packing (3.87708359…).
Rotations allowed. Exact minimum still open.

17 squares. No smaller square.
I've released the first complete Lean proof of optimality for Bidwell's 1998 packing of 17 squares.
Built with @OpenAI Astra + @AnthropicAI Opus 5.5.
Thanks to @ManassehA06 & @ojoshe for prior work.
