When I was touring the Toyota plant in Toyota city, one of the things that surprised me (and I’m not sure why) was how quickly the operators on the line were working...putting clutch pedals on corollas, was like a dance...more of a samba. I’m sure I didn’t really appreciate it.

"The Shokunin demonstrates knowledge of tools and skill with them, the ability to create beauty and capacity to work with incredible speed...The value of an object is dependent on a subtle combination of skill and speed..."

Every time I go to a hotel and see the do not disturb signs, the song “Don’t disturb this groove” by the System goes through my head. #childoftheeighties
