I received an email from a Nigerian chef who was sacked by a restaurant in Abuja. They have owed her N700,000 since March 2026. Payment for February and March. I have advised them to pay her by Friday, 16th October. If they do not, I will pay her myself. From that moment, the debt is no longer hers. It is mine. They become my debtor. Pay the woman her money. It is N700,000. Your business is probably worth billions. The next time I tweet about this, names will be called. Few things excite me more than making big organisations do right by people they assume are weak. Trust me, an orgasm doesn’t come close. At least the feeling lasts longer. I am thirsty.

All this fuss over a video when you don’t even know the actual context of what happened. We attended the meeting together with him. We were not there to meet Seyi Tinubu, we accompanied him to meet the women’s group, those he was seen greeting and shaking hands with in the video.
He deliberately skipped our Elder Brother @BashirAhmaad, What pains me the most is seeing our elder brother, Bashir Ahmad Gaya, who served as a media aide to one of the most respected presidents, not only in Africa but across the world, the late Muhammadu Buhari. Yesterday, at around 12:47 a.m., I was with my friend @SirddeQou, discussing the situation of our young people in Northern Nigeria. We talked about how our brother, Bashir Ahmad, had an opportunity that many young people could only dream of in the media industry. His platforms across all social media networks could potentially reach between 3.5 million and 4 million followers combined. However, because of greed, he continues to cling to the Asiwaju administration, even though they do not genuinely value him. If Bashir Ahmad had remained independent and focused on building his own digital media platform, how many people could he have employed in Nigeria? How many families could have benefited from the opportunities he created? Yet today, in what appears to be a loss of dignity, he is busy singing Seyi Tinubu's praises and applauding him, repeatedly chanting, “On your mandate, on your mandate.” The greatest sign of disrespect towards our brother, Bashir Ahmad, is the position he has been given in the City Boy Movement: Director of Media Monitoring and Rapid Response. Mallam Bashir Ahmad, please reflect on this and consider using your platform to build and amplify the voice of Northern Nigeria across the world. Whatever you did not achieve under the Buhari administration, you may never achieve under Tinubu.

When you have an interesting public life like mine, it becomes difficult to completely ignore all the narratives that people build around you. In the media, if you allow a one-sided narrative to build around your personality without any opportunity for another perspective, that narrative can gradually become the version of you that the majority accepts. Sometimes, it takes fate bringing you into direct contact with someone for you to discover that the person you thought you knew is completely different from the person you eventually meet. That is one of the realities of public life, you cannot control every narrative, but you can continue to live your truth and allow time and human encounters to tell the rest of the story.
Bashir Ahmed explaining himself will only attract more trolls. Blud still moves like he’s new on this street 😂

The re-election of Governor Ademola Adeleke in the just-concluded Osun election is a fitting assurance that democracy will continue to flourish in our country under the All Progressives Congress administration. I called Governor Ademola Adeleke @AAdeleke_01 earlier today to congratulate him on his election victory in Osun State. His victory once again confirmed the confidence the people of Osun State have in him. I wish him great success as he prepares to lead the state for the next four years. Now that he has won, Governor Adeleke must unite the people of Osun State and rally them for growth, stability, and social and economic progress, regardless of the political choices they made at the election. I salute the courage and discipline displayed by other contestants in the election. Their participation deepened and enriched our country’s democratic culture. The outcome of the election reflects the will of the people and is a fitting assurance that democracy will continue to flourish in our land. I must also commend the Independent National Electoral Commission and the security agencies for conducting a peaceful and transparent election that produced a clear winner. May our democracy continue to thrive and be strengthened God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Bola Ahmed Tinubu President

More than 40 years ago, I arrived in Chicago in search of an idea. I was a young man looking for purpose, who believed deeply in America, was inspired by the Civil Rights Movement, and wanted to be a part of something larger. The America I believed in was one where everyone has opportunity, everyone is seen, everyone belongs—because that was an America that had a place for me, too.

Hon. Isa Ali Pantami has every right to contest for office, just like any other Nigerian. Likewise, the public has every right to criticize him and assess him based on his past utterances before entering politics. He can no longer hide under the umbrella of religion to shield himself from criticism. He will be treated like every other politician in this country. Praise him when he performs well, and criticize him when he falls short.

For the first time, the US confirms today that "a team of specialists" were sent to Nigeria to support government forces against the Islamic State (IS-Sahel and ISWAP). AFRICOM commander Anderson said this development came following a meeting with Nigerian President Tinubu in Rome, where both parties expressed their intention to intensify military cooperation.
Lt. Gen. John Brennan joined senior leaders in Abuja today to launch the inaugural U.S.-Nigeria Working Group. This group establishes a new framework for coordination, accountability, and joint efforts to counter terrorism and protect the vulnerable. - @USAfricaCommand

Pastor Tunde Bakere @T_Bakare ‘s sermon and speech delivered this morning in form of a message to @officialABAT is quite objective. He gave his general opinion on events and decisions of government; He critiqued certain polities and applauded some ; he further offered his suggestions on the way forward. importantly, he acknowledged the successes and strides of the President and his administration. Although we differ with him in some areas and positions, but we respect his right to say his mind, and assure him as with many Nigerians that President Tinubu is determined to deliver on the promise to the Nigerian people. Happy Easter and best wishes to the good people of Nigeria

I AM APC MEMBER, I LIKE TO BE ADDRESSED AS ONE-BUHARI. Without referring to any individual, a cast of characters, or issues, principles and ideals currently being discussed by party leaders at various levels, the former president, Muhammadu Buhari has reiterated what he said times without number that he is member of the All Progressives Congress, APC and would like to be addressed as a loyal member of the party. He says he wants to leave no one in doubt that he would never turn his back to the party that gave him two terms of office and would do whatever he can to popularize it. “I am an APC member and I like to be addressed as such. I will try to popularise the party by all means.” He went on to add that at present, he has nothing but gratitude for the support that the party gave him before and during his tenure as president, which he considers as the highest honor, and would never ask for anything more. He further stated that the pains taken by the founding fathers to establish a strong party to protect our constitution, and democracy as a system of government are worthy sacrifices that should be cherished and nurtured.

Mr. President: Affordable Fuel is Possible at Zero Subsidy Yesterday evening, I listened attentively to a panel of experts and stakeholders on the BBC program Ra’ayi Riga, anchored by Umaima Sani Abdulmumin. The program ended with a big doubt in my mind regarding a matter purported to be a provision of OPEC and crucial to the price of petrol in Nigeria. Tyranny I could not fathom how particularly the representatives of NNPC and IPMAN stressed that Nigerians will be at the mercy of two variables: the international market and the price of the US Dollar in Nigeria. They said OPEC agreement compels member countries to sell allocated domestic crude at international rate even if refined locally. So we should expect higher fuel prices anytime the rate of the dollar appreciates in Nigeria and also when, for any reason, there is a rise in the cost of crude in the international market. It is the rule, according to them. Our fate, they claim, is sealed, regardless of our OPEC membership and Dangote refinery. Nigerians will no longer have a stable fuel price. Trust me, in Nigeria, the equation will be simultaneous. At any given moment, a reason will be found to use either or both parameters to increase pump price. The target of government is to extract more revenue from citizens while the businessmen in Dangote, Major Marketers, NNPCL and IPMAN continue to feed their greed for endless profit with our blood. The truth The truth is that there is no provision like that in OPEC agreements. In fact, the very idea of domestic crude quota arose in realization that citizens of member countries may need to enjoy cheaper oil than the international market price. That is why those citizens have been enjoying cheaper fuel for the past five decades in different countries. Many still do. Why not Nigerians? If you ask ChatGPT whether OPEC agreement compels member countries to sell crude for domestic consumption at international market price only, this is the answer you get: “OPEC (Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries) does not directly compel member countries to sell crude oil for domestic consumption at international market prices. OPEC’s primary role is to coordinate and unify petroleum policies among member countries to stabilize oil markets and secure a steady supply of oil. “However, OPEC’s production quotas, agreements on output levels, and policies can indirectly influence domestic oil pricing. In practice, many OPEC members choose to sell crude oil domestically at subsidized rates or prices lower than the international market. This decision is made at the discretion of individual member countries, often as part of national energy policies aimed at supporting domestic economies and industries. Nonetheless, these policies may vary from one member country to another depending on domestic priorities and economic strategies. “There is no formal OPEC rule that requires domestic sales to match international prices, though it can be influenced by international agreements and market pressures.” The Truth The truth is that the President and Minister of Petroleum can sell our 445,000 barrels a day to Dangote at even N50,000/barrel after taking into consideration the cost of extraction and OPEC will not raise any eyebrow. Dangote can charge the cost of refining, add his profit and sell to NNPCL and IPMAN at, say, N300/litre. On their part the marketers will add their cost of transportation, storage, profit, etc., and sell it to Nigerians at N400/litre. And—boom—we all will be happy. The Squeeze Also, among those who would fight against Nigerians enjoying affordable fuel rates are the IMF, World Bank and the West generally. They want the government to squeeze us the more such that we can service our debts and collect more loans from the Shylock. The age long philosophy is: our poverty, their wealth; our pain, their joy.
