I really love @ellipsis_dev! It suggested a great suggestion while reviewing my PR, but not something I wanted to do directly.
I asked it to create a follow-up and it did!
Didn't expect it to work, but it does! What an awesome tool! 🥳

Out enjoying a Saturday with my partner meanwhile @cognition_labs Devin and @ellipsis_dev are cranking out PR’s.
We’re about to start deploying daily with no human interaction. Ellipsis approval on a PR is going to trigger auto merge and deploy.

Shoutout @ellipsis_dev support 🙌🙌 insanely fast and more importantly concise

Every engineering team should be automating their daily standup with @ellipsis_dev
In 2025, there's no reason a developer should show up to standup without having skimmed what their colleagues shipped that day.

I’m thinking about open sourcing @ellipsis_dev
The “Open source, AI Software Engineer” might be a compelling sell to many companies

It’s not even just PR reviews they fumbled, it’s amazing how they haven’t come up with analytics, agent-as-a-service, better Slack integration, etc
@ellipsis_dev has all of these:
- docs.ellipsis.dev/features/a…
- docs.ellipsis.dev/features/r…
- docs.ellipsis.dev/features/q…

woke up at 2am to a Sentry alert that one of the workers we use for codebase indexing was OOMing
turns out @ellipsis_dev is now installed in a 4GB repo that averages one new commit every ~6 seconds. sweet

Another $80K engineering position replaced by a $60 p/m AI tool in our stack.
Instantly reviews pull requests:
- works 24/7
- code reviews are of HIGH quality, especially in last few months
- removes the human having to sound like an asshole nitpicking on someone else's code
- acts as a third point of review for AI generated code.
If your engineering team are AI skeptics - this is a good entry point.

@brexHQ has been invaluable for us at @ellipsis_dev, since we’ve added a deal to the Brex Perks page (1 year of free code review) the number of companies using Ellipsis has increased 50%.
And now they’ve sent me a pair of shoes!
#GrowWithBrex is a thing - they clearly want to help their customers win, and look good doing it 🔥

Love getting tons of stuff done at 5am on Sat/Sun. Get's even better when you report things and multiple vendors are responsive immediately
Thanks @ellipsis_dev @rootlyhq!

Startups are also using YC cos like @ellipsis_dev and @greptile for code review which tangibly improves code quality across the board. Fewer bugs get merged, another cross the board speedup.

@ellipsis_dev just saved me from taking down prod. Again.
I intended to remove "[bot]" suffixes from a string, so I used rstrip(), but there's a hidden gotcha where rstrip() removes any trailing combination of the characters passed as an argument.
Meaning "bot", "tob", "obo", "oot", would also be removed!
