oh come on! the rebooked flight cancelled just when the gate was supposed to be opened ❌ next flight about 10pm, train(s) will take the same time off to the next 5 hours at the airport

one of the flights on my way to @SwiftConf was cancelled ❌ now stuck in MUC for a while hope the rebooking won’t be cancelled as well 😁

so here are some experiments, both filters implemented with msl original/average/median

clearly, the average filter is not the best choice for salt&pepper noise

here's the median filter (image border pixels unchanged) good for handling some extreme outliers

so here's the average filter (edges remain unchanged) it smoothes the image by reducing the intensity variation between neighbouring pixels
