The Ball is an online exhibition that explores how the myth of the overtly sexual and desperately self-loathing mixed Black woman has been crafted by some of the most atrocious sides of American science and history. You can visit it at takemetotheball.com until April 13th!
Crawling out from my inaction on this app to say that I’d love if you came to the Zoom launch event for my virtual exhibition THE BALL on Feb 13th at 5:30! There will be readings by @desmckenz and @shellymgrace ! Link to register is here: eventbrite.com/e/the-ball-vi…

We are again filled with grief and rage.
Another migrant farmworker has died.
He tested positive, was placed in quarantine, and "found unresponsive". He came here to grow your tomatoes.
Was he checked up on? Did he get to say goodbye? We don't know.

A man in Alameda, CA died after police pinned him down for 5 min — with a knee to his neck, bodycam shows. Police claim he had a "medical emergency."
#MarioGonzalez was 26.
Family say police killed him "in the same manner they killed George Floyd." Officers are on paid leave.
