This is disgusting because there is honestly only three reasons why they would do this to Kirsche: #1 They're completely unorganized and one hand has no idea what the other hand is doing. #2 When word started getting around that Kirsche was going to be a guest, the SJR mob (and possibly some of the guests/sponsors) started screeching and ree'ing and threatening to either refund their tickets or not show, so the people running the con bent the knee (like they always do). #3 They USED Kirsche by knowing they'd never let her be a guest, booking her, letting her talk about the con on her streams and social media in order to generate interest and knowledge of the con to people who might not have been aware of it... and then rugpulling her right before the event now that she'd given them a bunch of free publicity. It honestly doesn't matter which reason(s), these people just ruined their entire event and their company by doing this and exposing what they truly are.

Disagreeing with someone on their stance or position on something is not "calling them out". Your desperate attempt at social media clout by attempting to start shit between content creators is both obvious and pathetic.

This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. The writing has been on the wall for the entire gaming industry for the last 10-15 years. Customers... GAMERS... want fully completed, entertaining and fun games and don't want DEI messaging shoved down their throats all the time. You all (the gaming industry) have been told time and time and time again what gamers want, what they will PAY for, and you ignored it. You tried to make the excuse "We can't make games for "influencers" and streamers." Many gamers tune into these individuals to make an informed decision on whether they should spend their money on your product in the first place. In a time where no one trusts most game devs anymore, they want to know if the end product is worth their money and streamers can provide that information to them and you hated that they served as an early warning sign for them. You listened to companies like Sweet Baby Inc, who ran laughing all the way to the bank with the money you paid them while your entire business went under, instead of your customers. This was a demise of your own doing and no one feels bad for you about it. Welcome Home.
