While, yes, there is a ton that VGen should do to verify people's identity and payment authorizations to prevent this from going further...you're subject to scams ANYWHERE. If you see a policy change link from a random user asking for your credit card info why would you send it..
I'm in fucking tears. I just got a @_VGen_ commission, the user gave me a fake reference link and stole THOUSANDS of dollars from me.
That was all of my money and then some.
Literally all of my money in my bank account.

Sucks when this happens but you also have to take accountability for your mistakes. Don't blame it ALL on the platform. If you use another service and this happens again I fear that's user error.
