Institutional finance doesn't have a transparency problem, rather It has an access-control problem.
Think about how a traditional financial institution operates.
Not everyone can see every client's portfolio. Not every employee can access every transaction. And not every business partner needs to know the details behind a financial decision.
Yet on public blockchains, sensitive financial activity can become visible to anyone with a block explorer.
