the most important people to avoid in a friendship or any type of relationship are DEEPLY insecure people.
it feels good to provide for them and validate them. it feels good to help them because you care, but the reality is that they don't genuinely care for you the same way. they don't really care about you, they care about what you do for them. once they're bored of that, or consider you "too easy," they move onto someone else.
you are replaceable to them.
don't give others the tools to hurt you. give yourself the tools to defend yourself.
