I’m happy for Browns fans who have been waiting to experience a winning culture for a long time. But I’m disgusted that Deshaun Watson is a part of it. 27 credible allegations and zero accountability and the team, the league, and sports media just do not care. It’s vile.

I don’t think you all understand how much damage the ADHD discourse really does. I’m a clinician who specializes in adult ADHD and half the battle sometimes is getting people to accept that they are struggling because discourse like this convinces folks that they are “weak”

ADHD can be debilitating. It can endanger employment, relationships, and basic functioning. But here comes fucking Janice on Twitter with “JUST SET AN ALARM” and you do not realize that people who are already prone to shame and rejection have internalized your bullshit.

ADHD is a serious, neurodevelopmental condition. Yes, there are coping skills and ways to manage. Many of these are often learned the hard way. Some are introduced clinically. Most people involved in the discourse are just throwing out whatever pops into their brains as solutions

I think the source of a bunch of the discourse around ADHD is that a substantial portion of people do not have the ability to imagine that life inside someone else's head could be different and for whatever reason considering that possibility makes them irrationally angry

This is an oversimplification of the disorder, and as a clinician, I’m TIRED. Yes, people can be insufferable. Yes, people can be melodramatic. But ADHD can fucking SUCK and I’m over people parading their opinions as expertise.
