I got the COVID-19 vaccine today! My wing is feeling a little sore, but it'll give my body an extra protective boost that keeps me and others healthy. Ms. @EricaRHill even said I’ve been getting vaccines since I was a little bird. I had no idea!

I would love to see the strength of conviction in those who believe vertical transmission doesnt occur If they had to intubate a newborn of a #COVID19 positive mom, would they really not use an N95 mask? Bet it would be an epic fail!

On call conversations these days... “Doc I just got a shock by my ICD. Was working in my yard when I got dizzy and went down to the ground” “You gotta come in” “No doc, there is too much corona going on” Back & forth- 20 minutes. Finally convinced to come in! 😓

Tip for students going off to college: study 80s/90s pop culture. Particularly Ferris Beuller, Princess Bride, Simpsons seasons 2-5. Your gen x/early millennial profs will try to connect with you through these, and will be confused/sad when you stare blankly at them. Not joking.

Interesting interpretation of English language by @MieleCanada. My email from them "Miele does not provide a DB rating of our dishwashers...". But website: "Miele dishwashers operate at particularly quiet noise levels from 41 dB". The German translation must be off.
My daughter's @fitbit ace stopped working after a few months. I spent hours trying to get it to work and than another hour on phone with @FitbitSupport . Finally was sent replacement one - also a lemon. I am being offered a third one! I just want a refund or a different model

Myth: Nut free schools are necessary to keep kids safe Truth: No evidence to support this approach and must consider downsides - one large study showed INCREASED anaphylaxis in nut free schools. Pros and cons: asthmaallergieschildren.com/… #DrDave

"I presented a patient who was admitted for chest pain after walking his dog. My attending asked, 'What was the name of his dog?' 4 years later, I’m not sure anything I’ve carried from residency has been more useful than that question." Terrific essay. nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NE…
