The @wsl has no tickets and no arenas, and it still knows its fans better than most event teams know their attendees. @MarketingBrew’s look at how the WSL built its fan intelligence is a playbook event marketers should incorporate:
1️⃣ Segment by depth, not just demographics. WSL groups fans into superfans, committed, lifestyle, and "next-wave" fans. Try tiering attendees the same way, then see who drives pipeline and who drives brand.
2️⃣ Stitch signals together. No single source of truth? Combine registration, session scans, surveys, content, and community activity into one profile.
3️⃣ Talk to each segment differently. Your 10-year regular doesn't need the same content, or offers as a first-timer.
4️⃣ Map the next touchpoint. Every clip view or download is a signal. What's the next logical step to move them deeper?
5️⃣ Let your talent recruit. WSL builds athletes' brands alongside its own. Your speakers and partners can do the same for your event.
Customize the guest experience online and offline, and better data follows.

Several games abroad converts the few thousand people in the stands. Invest in expansion, invest in local culture, and show you actually care about the regions you want to win...responsibly for players & staff, and authentically for the fans. Fandom isn't flown in. It's built.
Aaron Rodgers sat at that podium in Paris and said out loud what the corporate league office spends millions trying to sanitize.
The NFL talks endlessly about “player safety” and “expanding the global game.” But behind closed doors, owners scrapped player-friendly bye weeks, forced a brutal 17th regular-season game, and shipped franchises across oceans simply because there was another dollar to squeeze out of foreign TV markets.
While families and players navigate locked-down streets, civil tension, and grueling travel schedules, ownership sits in five-star suites counting international expansion checks.
Rodgers doesn't care about league fines anymore. He’s telling you the truth: in the modern NFL, the brand and the balance sheet come first. The humans on the field come second.
Back in the room for my 4th A Media Operator Summit, and it never gets old.
I've watched this event grow year over year, and it's been something special to see. @JayCoDon has built far more than a newsletter or a conference. He's built a real community of operators who show up, share what's actually working, and push each other to build better media businesses.
Let's go! 🙌

🇸🇬 LONGITUDE: How fast is money moving through stablecoins?
“Over $14 trillion over the last 12 months, and that growth rate is 151%.”

I sat down with @official_Loyey to talk about his new track “Chelsea USDC,” now live on DSPs.
Hear how his @ChelseaFC love + a fellow @arc Architect helped bring the track to life.
Go Blues!!!!
Spent the morning at the Edge, hosted by XP Land that included @canva's first experiential Upfront, and walked away giddy.
One of many highlights...Twelve leaders, twelve perspectives on the future of experiential, one word each: Personal, Human, Limitless, Resonance, Vulnerability, Amplification, Incomplete. That last one stuck with me. The idea that the best experiences are incomplete by design, that the guest finishes the story and that your audience is expansive. It's a quiet but profound reframe of what our craft actually is.
What ran through every conversation, whether it was Canva’s ambitious 2027, Salesforce on Dreamforce, Amazon Music on artist-fan connection, Zoom on perception change, or the NBA on turning a game into a city takeover, was the same throughline: events aren't a channel...they're a relationship. The room is where belief gets built, deals get started, and communities find each other.
Circle 🤝 Tereina
Circle and Tereina are partnering to bring USDC and EURC into enterprise payment workflows, beginning with SAP Pay, where Arc serves as the preferred blockchain.
For eligible businesses, that means more ways to move and settle value through the applications they already use.

Day 1 of @advertisingweek closed with something worth sitting with.
In a week saturated with AI & automation narratives, the final session on the Innovation Stage made the counterargument, not defensively, but with conviction. @julesstaveley leaned into friction maxxing. The idea that as everything becomes more instant and frictionless, people are actively choosing experiences that require more of them. Vinyl records in a streaming world. Sold out stadiums in an era of on-demand everything.
Live events have always been the ultimate expression of this. They do it because being in the room, the inconvenience, the serendipity, the unscripted moments, is precisely the point. The friction is the experience.
As technology continues scaling reach & breadth, what it cannot replicate is depth. The relationship forged in a room. The conversation that happens because two people happened to be standing near the same coffee station.
Offline isn't a retreat from the modern world. For many, it's the most desirable complement.
