A scrapbook kept by an obsessed fan of Christopher Plummer in “The Sound of Music”, comprising 18 typed pages detailing his every line and facial expression, illustrated by photographs which have obviously been taken by a camera smuggled into the cinema

A charming short story written by Basil Rathbone in this 1947 issue of The Baker Street Journal titled “Daydream”. He imagines an accidental meeting with Sherlock Holmes following a sting from one of his bees whilst on holiday in Sussex #sherlockholmes

A mentalist magic card trick from about 1835, made by Edwards who had a scientific shop in the Pantheon in London. Think of a number between 1 and 62, pick out the cards which have that number on them and add up the numbers in the upper left column!

Eagle update - Roy Dennis team id the eagle on Slepe moor as "G625 he is a very special bird. He is the first Eagle to hatch and fledge successfully in a wild nest in England in over 240 years! He fledged from a nest in West Sussex in 2023" @DorsetBirdClub @DorsetWildlife

I’ve found hundreds of raw garnets on the Thames, so far at four different locations. Some have been quite big, but none as large as this whopper. They are not native, so how did they end up in the Thames? 1/ #mudlark #mudlarking #mudlarkingfinds
