I guess it's time for a new pinned post as I've gotten a good amount of follower churn (and it's been a little while).
Hi. My name's Eugene Hendricks, but you can call me Gene. I'm a divorced father of one (who is soon to be a Coastie), I have a wonderful girlfriend and a great bonus kid, and I own two goofy German Shepherds (who you will see pictures of fairly regularly).
I'm also a part time voice actor and Twitch streamer. Since my day job is very technical, doing voice roles allows me to have a really good creative outlet. Playing retro games on stream also gives me an outlet, and let's me connect to some pretty cool people.

I don't normally comment on these things, but this is just egregious. To announce a guest on October 22nd and then to then say that this guest is uninvited only three days later is either, at best, gross incompetence or, at worst, malicious greed. It's one thing if the guest has personal or professional obligations and needs to pull out, which sucks but is understandable. That's not what happened, though.
While I don't consider myself an "Honorable Chatter", I am familiar with @KirscheVerstahl and frequently watch her stuff. Does she have opinions I agree with? Yes. Does she have opinions I disagree with? Also, yes. Overall, though, she is a generally entertaining creator that I enjoy watching and I'm coming down on the side that this is malicious.
Why, you ask? Well, this convention has apparently invited her for the past THREE years. In ALL THAT TIME, you would think they would have looked at her content and determined if she was a good fit. At the very least, this is the kind of thing that those involved should discuss BEFORE extending the invitation. So gross incompetence is on the table, but unlikely.
The website states that "all purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable", which puts it much more in the realm of greed. They announce a big, popular guest and then, presumably after enough badges have been sold, they rug-pull with no real explanation.
I hope those that bought badges contact their payment providers and reverse the charge on this one. This is textbook deceptive marketing and false advertising. I hope it was worth it to Youmacon to completely ruin their reputation over this.

I'm genuinely scared.
I've been trying so hard to find another job, but nothing has worked out so far. My current job keeps cutting my hours, even after I've explained how badly I need them.
I'm struggling to keep up with bills, and it's heartbreaking to feel like no matter how hard I try I can't catch up.
I just want to be able to pay my bills, breathe without constantly worrying about money, and feel okay again.
If anyone is able to help, even a little, I would be so grateful. I just need a little breathing room until I can find stable work. Even a share means so much to me.

I contacted YouTube about my strike and despite them admitting I did nothing wrong, they are still maintaining the strike against my channel. I am attaching my conversation with "support specialists" in which they openly admit that I expressly told people NOT to bully or harass anyone, which is the very thing I received a strike for, and yet my strike will not be reversed.
When I tell you YouTube does NOT want you posting on their platform, I'm not being hyperbolic. They are deliberately punishing content creators that have not violated their community guidelines specifically to make them as uncomfortable as possible so they will leave the platform. They don't want you around because your a net negative to their financial bottom line. You are a loss-leader, dead weight, a financial burden, and they want you gone so only their top .01% whales and mainstream media remain.
This isn't an oopsie, this isn't a "flaw" in their AI... it is 100% INTENTIONAL!

@YouTube and @TeamYouTube I am someone who loves dogs with all of my heart, so when I see and hear about someone coldly and maliciously abusing a dog, yes, I'm going to rhetorically say that they should receive the same cruel treatment that they inflicted upon their dog. Any decent person would make that kind of remark and not actually mean that the individual should be harmed.
That is not "harassment or bullying". It is not me putting out a call for people to go and attack her or "wishing harm upon her". It is a perfectly normal, HUMAN response to hearing about someone abusing an innocent animal. It is a completely understandable expression of anger and frustration, not a call for violence against anyone.
Can you please have a HUMAN review the appeal I submitted to you.

@YouTube and @TeamYouTube I am one again asking for a HUMAN to review my appeal on this matter.
I did not facilitate any "harassment" or "bullying" at any time during the entirety of my video. Other than a declaration of my anger at someone physically abusing an animal, I only called for proper legal action and consequences to be taken against the subject of the video who had committed a criminal offense. I did not incite, suggest, or demand any kind of harassment or bullying against any individual whatsoever.
I am formally requesting another look be taken at my case as I strongly believe this decision was reached in error.
