Yikes
No one likes to think about this, but sometime in the next 10 or so years, an event will happen wherein every single thing you've ever done digitally (search histories, content you've watched, photos you've taken, audio thats been clandestinely saved on your phone) will be public and searchable.

Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith has worn the Confederate flag and made jokes about lynchings. She was just defeated by Scott Colom, the first African American to represent Mississippi in 145 years. The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice. 🇺🇸

Who else thinks @amyklobuchar will appoint @Tim_Walz to serve out the remainder of her Senate term?

For centuries, European soldiers told stories about swords from the Middle East that could slice a silk scarf in midair and cut through armor without dulling. They called it Damascus steel. The steel didn't actually start in Damascus. It started in southern India and Sri Lanka, where smiths made something called wootz. They sealed iron and plant material inside clay crucibles and heated them in furnaces for hours. What came out were small ingots of steel with far more carbon than most iron of the time. Those ingots were traded across the Indian Ocean and the Persian world, and smiths in the Middle East forged them into blades. When those blades were polished and etched, a pattern appeared on the surface. Swirling bands of light and dark, like flowing water or wood grain. Nobody had painted it on. It came from inside the metal itself. The blades had a reputation for being hard enough to hold a razor edge but tough enough not to shatter, which was the hardest balance in sword making. Then, sometime around the 1700s and 1800s, the knowledge died out. Smiths stopped being able to make true wootz Damascus blades, and nobody wrote down exactly how it had been done. For about two hundred years, metallurgists tried to recreate it and failed. In the 1990s, a materials scientist named John Verhoeven and a blacksmith named Alfred Pendray made a breakthrough. They found that the patterns depended on tiny traces of elements like vanadium in the original Indian ore. Those impurities helped form the bands as the steel was worked. When the old ore sources were exhausted or changed, the magic may have disappeared with them, even if the smiths were still doing everything right. In 2006, German researchers looked at a 17th-century Damascus sabre under an electron microscope and reported finding carbon nanotubes and nanowires inside the steel. Medieval smiths had been producing nanostructures without having any idea they existed. And the silk scarf story? The most famous version of it comes from Sir Walter Scott's 1825 novel The Talisman, where Saladin shows off his blade to Richard the Lionheart. It's fiction. The real swords didn't need the legend.

If ONE elected Muslim senator makes the United States a Muslim country then what do THOUSANDS of priests convicted of sexually abusing children make Christianity?

It’s not a question of "getting even." It’s not even a question. It’s a duty. It’s the power and duty of Congress to provide oversight. To ensure that the executive branch is being in accordance with the Constitution and the laws that Congress has enacted on the people’s behalf. And to ensure that tax dollars are being spent in the interests of the people, and not the public servants who control the accounts. This power and duty was exercised by Congress from the earliest moments of the Washington Administration. It has been forsaken by corrupt and craven Congresses of recent years. It is the new Congress's solemn obligation to resume performance of its duty to oversee the executive branch, and any leader who can’t commit to that obligation should stand aside.
Hakeem Jeffries on Morning Joe: The American people don't want us to get even. They want us to get things done on their behalf because life is way too expensive. We ran on affordability, we won on affordability, and now it's our job to govern on affordability.

We cannot just turn the damn page on Donald Trump’s corruption. We must expose the grift, hold those responsible accountable, and make sure it NEVER happens again.

We all need to be calling our representatives and making sure they understand that we do NOT want Jeffries or Schumer to take over as Speaker of the House. Now is not the time for “peace”. It’s time for kicking ass! We need someone strong minded who will fight for us.
Jeffries: "I haven't had a single member of the House Democratic caucus talk to me about impeachment. We've been relentlessly focused on affordability and accountability."

1000% Agree with Don Winslow
.@hakeemjeffries Only you could undermine a historic night for Democrats by going on TV and saying "The American people don't want us to get even" It's never been about that. It IS about ACCOUNTABILITY and the RULE OF LAW. And your failure to understand this is DISQUALIFYING
