Not sure if this happened today or yesterday, but early voting in Iowa has surpassed the prior midterm cycle's total.
Today's updated #s show more than 407K early ballots already received in Iowa. That's already more than all of 2022, when 317K+ early ballots were cast.
The Captain is clearly toasted and has a black eye from getting biffed by the trophy. This team is perfect for Wisconsin. #WinOurWay
We did it, Cap.

Same. I’d welled up a time or two, but that highlight package overlayed with old Ueck calls … that destroyed me. Well done, @MLBONFOX. Well done.
Needed a rare, quick wardrobe change while recording this week’s On Iowa Politics podcast. In theater, we call this a quick change.
Be sure to check out the episode when it posts later today.

The Brewers in the World Series, and now this? I must have pleased the fates, who are giving me all the best news to survive this election season! #WinOurWay #BackOnTheBattlefront
Respawn and DICE are collaborating on a 'new project' at EA, which Bloomberg reports it will be a new Star Wars Battlefront title

@GordyHaab pick up that pen, paper and baton, and get to work.
@BenWalke, we’ll need someone to talk to.

If you’re a Brewers fan, especially a longtime Brewers fan, you absolutely and unequivocally must read this.
Because it is written to you.
How do you sum up a day 44 years in the making, a moment that seemed would never come? How do you properly convey how a team can undo a half a decade of heartbreak in one night in LA?
You don't, but this was the best I got. Hope it does it justice.

BREAKING POLITICAL MOLDS: "It’s such a fascinating race to watch unfold. You have two candidates who aren’t your cookie-cutter Democrat or Republican candidates... the Republican candidate talks about wanting to take on water quality, cancer, and break up agriculture monopolies. He talks about issues in a way we haven’t heard Republicans in Iowa talk about." @ErinDMurphy
The Des Moines Bureau Chief, Erin Murphy, highlights how both candidates defy conventional political molds, pointing to a nonpartisan approach on one side and a Republican platform taking on water quality, healthcare concerns, and agriculture monopolies in ways rarely heard before.
Instant tears when I heard this. What an absolutely brilliant and pitch perfect homage to a legend in an amazing moment. @JLevering4, well done and thank you.

Kudos to the great @TwoHeadedBoy98 for his coverage of last night's gubernatorial debate in Sioux City. Excellent work here. Maybe I'll have him talk about it on the next On Iowa Politics podcast ... thegazette.com/news/election…

Our Tuesday centerpiece is a preview of the least-discussed of Iowa's U.S. House races. There's plenty interesting with this one:
This election cycle, the race for Iowa's Fourth Congressional District is something of an oddity. And for several reasons.
