alexandra/the witch in wildwood being like an actual villain instead of just being redeemed was great. im sorry but we've been lacking in that department

“Alexandra is not a cartoonish villain. She can be so intimidating and scary, but what makes her human is the fragility underneath, and Carey Mulligan is able to command both of those things with incredible ability.”🐦⬛❤️🩹🍂—‘WILDWOOD’ director Travis Knight

Saw Wildwood a second time yesterday. I just can’t believe this movie exists. I don’t know if we all realize how lucky we are to live in a time where artistry is at this high of a level. Every ivy leaf, every blade of grass, and every feather handmade. This movie is a miracle

"Wildwood" took nearly 15 years to make, with 231 puppets and 136 sets, making it the longest stop motion film ever made.

Wildwood is brutal and treats the audience with full respect. Might be some of my favorite deaths in cinema purely because none of them are fluffed up as glorious or heroic. When people die, that's it. It's sudden and discomforting which the movie captures perfectly.

The illustrator of the original ‘WILDWOOD’ book Carson Ellis has a cameo in the film.
